As an ex catholic what led me to Islam amongst other things, is that you would confess to a priest that is either abusing kids or looking the other way. As a survivor of childhood sexual assault, I couldn't practice a religion that has you confess to a possible vile man. Instead why couldn't I connect with my maker directly? He doesn't abuse kids unlike man, so its acceptable to me to confess to something pure. How can I seek forgiveness from someone impure?

I am so sorry for what you went through. The bible never asks people to confess to.a priest. This happens when people do not follow the bible but follow men. Unfortunately you are now in a religion where you do not know what it teaches or what the prophet who brought iit did or taught. The prophet of Islam is a sinner like the preists that abused you, he married a six year old girl, caused his adopted son to divorce his wife and then married her, gave some verses as coming from God and then said that satan put those words in his mouth (satanic verses), preached a religion that permits husbands to lie to their wives, marry multiple wives and beat their wives. Leaving Islam is punishable by death. Muhammed lived for his own pleasures and desires while Jesus lived a sinless leife (even accourding to the Quran), and sacrificed himself for us becuase of his great love. I pray that God will be merciful to you and open you eyes to who Jesus really is. He is the way, the truth and the life and no one comes to the father except through him.

But in 1 Chronicles 21:1 it says that Satan did. Secondly, the accustions of you about the prophet peace and blessings be upon him are ignorant and falsley understood.

Beautiful. A little tip for Shaykh Uthman, after a questioner asks, if you would repeat the question aloud so everyone knows what he question was. Its hard sometimes to hear the questioner. Dr. Zakir Naik has this habit of repeating the questions so everyone knows what question he is about to answer. Hope Shayk can do this in he future Q&A's inshallah

But Somalia had the Portuguese, the French, the British, the Italian, and even Christian Ethiopians come to attack. Hello, as a Christian whose participating in ramadan for 15 days (in the hopes to one day convert to Islam) do you have to preform wudu before praying or can you just pray? Another question, is it ok for me (as someone's who is practising) to only do fajr, dhuhr and asr as opposed to all five prayers? Thankyou. :) Edit: completed my 15 days it was a lovely experience looking forward to completing 30 next year ❤ Edit2: I'm going to study about both Christianity and Islam and attempt to find my purpose in Islam before I convert (I'll still however continue practicing how to pray, preform wudu and so on) * NOTE: I converted around 7 months ago!!!*

Hi sister, I hope you're doing well. - For Salah (one of the 5 pillars of Islam and an obligation) : purification is a main pre-condition to do it, wudu in normal cases or ghusl in exceptionnal cases if water is available, else (ie if there is no water) we do tayammum. Note : women in menstruation period don't perform Salah until the period ends. - The five prayers are obligatory if you are muslim (but you can take it easy step by step until you learn how to pray correctly). Can I ask a question sister ? What's stopping you from becoming a muslim officialy ? because you have the muslim belief.

1. You have to perform wuduu before you pray, its a form of cleansing of impurities and wuduu is mainly for minor impurities, You will need ghusl, which is the bath for major impurities. 2. As for Salaah, all five are an obligation and should be fulfilled daily. May Allah continue to guide you towards the Right Path and all of us

Selam Sheikh! I’m from Holland and was not raised religious altho most of Holland is christian/catholic. Most of my friends and half of the neighbourhood and ppl from school were from marocco or turkey so i always been surrounded with the islamic belief. Few friends even reverted to the islam. I love history, countries and cultures and for the last couple of months the Quran and the Islam really took my attention. I always thought religions where super floaty and didn’t make sense at all. Untill if found your channel. And i must applause and compliment you brother! You are an amazing person and the way you talk with others, let them speak etc made me see the beauty of the islam. In my country people only mind their own business and dont really care about others (from my experiences in life) I am watching your videos on a daily basis, they even somehow push me a little bit towards reverting to the islam. I believe in one god and that that god sent prophets. I had 1 question that might sound silly for some people but might be something that is holding me back. I been into bodybuilding/ fitness and health for a long time. I would love to fast 1 day a week the entire year round. But i dont know if allah would accept this because it won’t be just the holy month of ramadan. (Meaning skip fasting in Ramadan and fast 1 day every week the reat of my life) I really wanted opinions from people who truly know or can share their ideas with me. Fasting 1 day a week for the rest of your life is super healthy. Id hope to hear from you! And if im ready, i would love for you to be the one who would do my shahada. Keep doing you! You are amazing 💪

I just wanted to say, I had the same kind a worry that how could i train while fasting but i noticed there are many muslim bodybuilders who made a plan for people who want to train and eating diet during ramadan. For example i have been training 3-5x per week this Ramadan and I havent lost any muscle mass or my weight hasnt gone down. My personal trainer also used to tell me it is well possible and its good for you to have that one month with different diet. But ofcourse it is important to remember Ramadan is a time to focus on your spiritual state and increase in nearness towards God. Lastly I wanted to say that what you believe is already what muslim believes so i suggest you to accept Islam and step by step you will learn more. Islam doesnt require you to be perfect but you just have to try sincerely and I can see from your comment that you are sincere. The shaykh uses a lot of arabic words in his answers, or sometimes even mentions ahadith and ayats without translating. We do understand, but do they understand? perhaps its wise to translate the arabic for them. May Allah swt reward the Shaykh abundantly for his beautiful speech !
