Glad you’re feeling better, that pain sounded terrible!! I personally would never unsubscribe from a channel because they introduced new content. It might be something I didn’t even know I would enjoy, and if I didn’t I just wouldn’t watch. But if I enjoy the creator I would never just leave because they switched things up. Like I loved when Rachel Rae and her husband did Theory Tuesday!! She would still diamond paint but he would talk and she would chime in every now and then and OMG they would make me laugh so hard sometimes!! They’re so funny together. Then I also like how she read books, like Grimm’s fairy tales. It’s just relaxing to dp and listen. I love conspiracy theory stuff and I love books . I only discovered KZbin dp stuff about 4 or 5 months ago, and have been diamond painting only about a year, so I had all these playlists to go back and listen to and I still have a lot left to get to. But there’s a reason you guys are called “content creators”. Creativity is not meant to be boxed it, it’s meant to be branched out. I think KZbin is only hurting themselves by making you have to only do 1 thing per channel, because something else a creator may present might just make that person interested in it and then look for more channels about it.

I agree, I like following variety channels and that is definitely how I've discovered new things to love! I wish YT was a bit more supportive of that kind of content.

We are getting a cold snap too with minus 13 ,we had lights go out 5 times yesterday we have a generator thankfully, hope you feel better , I know the Er is not always helpful and cost so much , my dad went in for food poisoning and it cost over 8,000 dollars lucky his Insurance kicked in . I understand exactly how you feel with moving around with different interests, I diamond paint , make jewelry, adult coloring, video games and love just being creative but when I am needing a break I love to watch KZbin of others doing art , it's inspiring. I think your channel should be whatever you feel like doing😊 I never unsubcribe if someone makes a video I don't care for , most of the time I am like you and like the person , I like art channels , video games , some animal channels and jewerly making , Sorry about the long post 😅

Yikes, minus 13 is TOO COLD, lol. I'm so glad it doesn't usually get that cold here. A generator would definitely be nice. Wow, $8k for food poisoning...that's so ridiculous! Glad his insurance covered the visit. Thanks for the feedback! That's so cool that you make jewelry! What kind do you make? I took a class in high school and had a really fun time making jewelry, but it was the kind with enamel and soldering and everything, and I haven't done it since because I don't have the tools, haha.

@@DPandDP I make all kinds of jewerly from loom beading to weaving , mostly I work with seed beads I like the small details you can get but lately I have been doing more diamond painting , I also have a small quilting project waiting on me lol . I always wanted to get into more metal work on jewerly but like you I don't have the tools , yeah I am glad he had insurance it was nuts the price they charged him . I just recently came to your channel so I apologize for commenting *weeks* later on your content, but I just wanted to say I am really enjoying listening to you while I work on my diamond painting. Also, thank you for sharing about the book 5 in the Stormlight Archive series! I’ve been on a bit of a book slump and haven’t enjoyed listening to anything much lately, but this will get me re-“reading” the series before the December release. Also, very cool that you’re taking the family to the con! That sounds like an amazing time! (Side note, I loved the sound of the ice hitting the window in the background. Hopefully you’ve thawed out by now and everything is much more seasonal for you!) ❤

I love doing diamond painting or knitting and listen to audio books. My favorites are the Kate Daniels-Books by Ilona Andrews, an Urban Fantasy. The books are really fascinating. I agree with what you said for the most part. If i am subscribed to someone i generally am also interested in other aspects of their interests or life if they choose to share them. I plan to make my channel about all my hobbies & dont expect to have much interest but thats okay because i will just be making stuff to satisfy my need to create. It is such a shame YT punishes channels if they stray from the norm.

For sure! I try not to worry too much about the numbers and everything, I just don't want people who want to see my videos to miss out because YT isn't showing my stuff to them. The algorithm is so fickle. XD

So as a baby KZbinr with just over 600 subscribers, I just do whatever content brings me joy. I’m super open about the fact that, yes, my channel starred as a booktube channel, I also include diamond painting stuff now as well. I just promote my channel on other platforms like instagram and my community tab so that people are still seeing them.

That’s awesome! I hope it works for you and your channel continues to grow! I used to do a variety of content on my art channel like vlogs and stuff in addition to art, but it didn’t work out there. I did do a couple diamond painting videos there too when I first got into the hobby, but it was clear it wasn’t going over well. XD

There are many diamond painting creator that all have other stuff like knitting or crochet… just add art to your name… and post on a specific day art content and dp on and other day making it clear on the title. Reading is a big common interest for diamond painters… I think if Wips and chats where about books would be awesome! How can book club and diamond painting be combined! Sign me up lol. We all read the same thing… then a live Wip and chat to talk??? I don’t know but it would be fun

I really enjoyed this WIP &chat. Your voice is so calming and I just painted along with you. Your squares looked great and I’ve been trying to make sure I’m not rushing along so mine look that way. Since February of 2023 I believe I have made some progress 😊I did start watching because of the diamond painting, but I like to hear and see about art and books as well. Unfortunately, I don’t read like I used to. However, I do enjoy hearing about books. I plan on continuing watching for more and hope with this winter storm front we all do well 💕

Thanks so much! My doctor is concerned that the pain was possibly pancreatitis, as that is apparently something that happens a lot for people who are on the med I'm taking. Hoping it's not that - I haven't had a recurrence after that day, thankfully!

Love your new setup. The sound is very clear and I don’t need to turn my volume up too loud. And thanks for suggesting the special Satura pen to DPP because I got lucky and was able to get a blank myself. It really is gorgeous! And I’ve noticed that other DP channels introduce different crafts so I don’t see why you can’t just add a low key art video and see what happens. I’ll watch all your videos and I kind of get attached to the creator and like to see other aspects of their lives. I love when Katie talks about books on her WIP n chats and I love when you talk about it as well.😊

I agree with you--I might follow people on youtube for a specific hobby, but I don't mind their other vides. I've even start watching some of their other channels even when I don't do the hobby because I like them. It's odd that everyone has to split up so much. I guess if you started making lots of videos about like hockey and not crafting I might change my mind, but general hobbies are all good in my book. Easy enough to skip a video when it isn't up my alley.

I think it's interesting to get to know more about what a person's whole life and interests are like, instead of just one aspect of who they are. I think that's why I really enjoy channels that include some vlogging along with their other content. Haha - no risk of my channel getting saturated with hockey videos, don't worry! XD

I'm into adult coloring,cross stitching, crocheting, diamond painting, sewing, plastic canvas, upcryling but diamond painting us my go to more often than anything ❤ I have ADHD and alot of mental issues so I'm in the mood for what Imin the mood to do lol but dp seems to be my #1 thing anf my husband told me I seem more in to dp

I totally have multiple interests, many the same as you, and i'm fine with variety channels. I wouldn't unsubscribe unless I just overall grew to not watch much of anything that person posts. i try not to just throw a subscribe out to anyone; i like to subscribe to just a few channels that i consistently watch. i also hyper-fixate on things, like you. i'll get a kick and watch unboxings, and then recently i started down a Kurt Cobain rabbit hole, or i may want to watch cozy game content for a few weeks. I would totally subscribe to all of your channels though: gaming, books, dp, art, all of them!

Which one of the Sanderson's books would you recommend me to start with as a total newbie? My friend who read almost all of his books (I guess) told me to try Elantris but I didn't enjoy it. I loved his style of writing but the story wasn't my style. Btw I am the same as you in doing the large paintings and reading very long books 🙂

In that case, if you’d like to try a standalone first, I’d suggest Warbreaker! If you’re up for starting a series, Mistborn is a really great place to start. The Stormlight Archive is his major, epic series, but it’s a bit of a slow start because the first book has to kind of set things up. Mistborn is a bit quicker-paced. I hope you enjoy whichever you choose to start with!

I get bored if content is always the same. I also dislike having to follow a creators 5 dif channels lol but i totally get how yt is designed and if you are trying to grow your channel, stepping outside the box doesn't usually work well. If i like a creator i will watch most of their content regardless

sounds to me like you had a hernia attack. My Mom gets them near the belly button and they also last about 10 hours. She can feel a bulge there when it''s paining her. The ER did NOTHING to help her just an xray and NO PAIN MEDS!!!! It;s agonizing pain bc I live with my mom and have to listen to her .

I ❤ watching your channel. You have a soothing voice. It just hurts the eyes because your camera goes blurry while your sticking the drills then goes back normal. In and out not trying to be mean just letting you know.
