Scientists are constantly soliciting pdf's of papers all the time because not everyone goes to a rich university and not everyone has the money to subscribe to JSTOR, etc. This information should be free and accessible to everyone. The fact the companies like JSTOR exist impedes the dissemination of information and holds everyone back.

I have and the only thing in Swartz's favor was that therier are others who have done far worse. Maybe you should check Carmen Ortiz record which of course Democracy Now would never do.

On the one end we are fighting for general public to have a University education. On the other end we have people selling "less qualified" degrees by running online Universities. In this context Aaron should not have been trailed. I think they thought of incarcerating him with a plan for 35 years and then after a some years of trouble and bargaining, he would have been pardon. But in that itself would have done serious damage to a creative person.

i thought saying, "legally enforced private property, including the right of owners of resources and products to dispose of them as they please, in tandem with competitive markets for those resources and produced goods, is theft from collectivized (not private) property belonging to all and conscientious centralized economic planning (not markets)...sharing is not" didn't have the same pizzazz.
