Great content, Aidan is absolute superstar, great human being only mocked by the British Establishment.

Well said Joe. Aidan is one of the most successful managers in the history of sport, yet makes himself available to connect with the fans. The sport is lucky to have him and we're very grateful for his time and insight. Hope you enjoyed the podcast.

Seathestars won Derby, Eclipse and Juddmonte as well. Throw in the 2000 guineas, Irish champion and an Arc.

You are correct. I meant second horse and the only one to win the Dewhurst, Derby, Eclipse and Juddmonte.

I do not know if you were referring to horses trained by AOB, but if not, Sea the Stars also won the Derby, the Eclipse and the International stakes in the same season (2009). Apart from that, great interview with many valuable insights, looking forward to the Breeders Cup, specially for both City of Troy and Lake Victoria's performances. Keep it up!!

I meant to say first horse to win the Dewhurst, Derby, Eclipse and Juddmonte and only the second after Sea The Stars to win Derby, Eclipse and Juddmonte in the same season, but I fluffed it! Thanks for watching 👍🏻

always enjoy aidans interviews what a man. He looks very tired in the interviews i seen today, get your rest Aidan. if ground comes up dry kickback shouldn't be a big issue COT should find fresh ground on his run in with his style of running kind of like in the coral he found daylight and ran into fresh ground. Also horses have internal eyelids which prevent anything going into the eyes if comes up heavy or sloppy or even juice inside it, horses mid pack get caked in sand carry extra 50 pounds by the line. I really hope COT wins Aidan earned this... he's earned a right to run in all these big races and coolmore should be giving him those options.. he's done enough for the coolmore clan. Time for them to put Aidan up and let him choose if he wants a crack at these races.

Did you touch on River Tiber at all? Surprised there was not more of a mention as I think at 40/1 he’ll run a massive race provided a decent draw. Firm ground over the round mile with a fast pace to close into. I wouldn’t be so sure Ryan will 100% choose Diego Velazquez. Run in the Foret was very eye catching when draw, pace and ground were against him.

I agree with all of this. He's fit and well and has improved since Paris Longchamp. He'll be the second runner, Ryan likely to be on Diego, but that just means a bigger price about a talented horse. Maybe Christophe Soumillon on board? Thanks for watching.

@@FinalFurlongPodcast Yep. Guess will all depend on the draw on Monday. Haven’t heard if super Soumi is travelling over but will take that! Content another I’m hugely interested in for the F&M. I think the race is absolutely made for her! I’m shocked that Aiden thinks Ryan will choose Ylang Ylang. I don’t think she’ll stay or is as good as a peak content imo. Thanks for the content! No pun intended :)

i think he, either he makes all after 3-4f out or attaches to the first pack and fights it out with 1 or 2 them.. some of the horses in this race are strong milers so they are quick to do it but fade hard at the elbow. We're a 12f horse so we should stay better so if we can just keep up enough with the pace so that we have a crack at the run in i think he can place or better looking back horses within the top 5 or 6 around the bend tend to place. I can see COT keeping up with the pace if he takes to it that day. He's very scopey imo so i guess good ground will be idealish on dirt. You see when you watch dirt racing if ground comes up sloppy / soft you'll see those heavy action big bodied horses eat it up like the way Sieze the grey won oppose to the turf where scopey horses love a bit of soft. So probably hope for good ground, maybe headgear might suit on the day.. some ear plugs or those new air plug hoods.. COT has the class to win this, but whether he does or not is on the day, bes of luck aidan. Also looking forward to another horse under the radar from AOB think he might be going Melbourne gold cup, Jan Brueghel 3yo progressive type, stayer.. 4 wins from 4 runs, won 2 group 3's first time out at 1m2 and 1m4. then went and won Grade 1 in the english leger im looking forward to him the most think he could be another Kyprios.
