The movie was hit but he was heavily criticised for his looks. He later went on to give 7 hits on a row and shut all his critics. At 19 years for someone to show such maturity , it really shows how well he prepared. Second thing, his uncle , chiranjeevi who was huge star and was referred like amitabh of tollywood. Also he was dancing icon and compared with the likes of govinda and mithun. So obviously ppl will be having somekind of expectation over him. And he was the one who came with proper hip hop(b boying) dancing even before it was introduced to indian audience with boogie woogie. He was also a gymnast from the age of 6. He could simply do action and dances in all his movies like tiger shroff to survive but instead chose to up his acting skills with every movie.
