After nearly 33 years of loving this woman's music, stories and her realness, she remains a class act, still showing her faith, and I plan to continue to listen to her music until I'm 80! Even if I'm the only one in the audience! Thank you, AG!

Regarding the song "El Shaddai": I will NEVER forget a night in 1983. I was in a church, not the one I grew up in, but a more contemporary one for the time. (This was at the beginning of my walk with Jesus when songs like this were still knew to me) A teenage girl stood before the congregation and, with the music track playing, sang "El Shaddai". It was like a wave had hit me. The deep meaning of the song lyrics, her beautiful voice, and the presence of the Holy Spirit just infilled me.

Just saw Amy in Milwaukee with my oldest daughter who used to sit on her bed at bedtime and play Amy's songs. She is now 36 and still is touched by Amy and her music as am I at 61. This was our 3 Amy concert together. The first was in Chicago we were so far from the stage my daughter cried and said Mom she looks like a barbie doll! That's how far from the stage we were. The 2nd time is West Allis at the fair. A man put my daughter on his shoulder's cause my daughter had a bag of Lays chips with a note to Amy and got close enough to hand it to her which made her so happy. Gary was also there. 3rd was yesterday my daughter wanted to have Church with Amy I understand that cause she has always felt a close tie with Amy and we had great seats. One day I'm praying she gets to meet Amy and hug her. Amy's music has brought her back to the Lord many times. Amy we love you so much your so gentle and real and you DO HAVE your Father's eyes God bless you.

Cute interviewer. Poised responses, always classy is classic Amy Grant. She inspires me how she models God's love, grace, and forgiveness -- toward others and toward herself. May she sing and encourage whoever else is in the room, all her days.

Who are you to say that people who love music..whether that is a rock musician or country musician..are bad influences? As Christians we are called to love..we are not called to judge others? That is God’s place to judge. Get off your pedestal and show Christian love and compassion.

It’s a shame that Amy grant had a very bad example of her young life of how she didn’t substain from evil appearance around other singing groups. Being around rock groups, hard rock groups, and even country singers that was not a good influence for a young Christian young lady, but she still was enticed to be engaged in their relationships. Singing with them and doing evil deeds with them and not showing the true Christians as sheep are claimed to be. Christ himself separated himself from people that lived a simple life, but the only time that he was around them were when he was witnessing and teaching them. Her life did not portray this. Unless if she got forgiveness, her life would not be complete in eternity until she does. Because if she does not, she will not make it. It’s called repentance. The Bible talks about leaving your first love.
