Those who are mocking her for her accent, remember English is a foreign language and to learn a foreign language, it's advised to learn how to speak like the native speakers. I'm certain these are the same people who mock people for speaking Nagamese, a bastardised lingua franca and creole, in different accents and expect others to speak Nagamese in Kohima or Dimapur accents. We should appreciate the fact that she at least has tried to polish her accent without the harsh sounds of MTI Spoken Englishes. Like all Nagas, she's a non-native speaker of English who's learning how to speak English in an American or British or Australian or Kiwi or Canadian or whatever accent that catches her fancy, and who are we to judge? As a learner and lover of English, I also try to the best of my ability to get rid of my MTI pronunciation/diction whenever I speak English. I'd rather listen to her accent than to our MTI(Mother Tongue Influenced) Englishes which pollute my sensitive sensibilities. Non-native Naga learners and speakers of English shouldn't take Englishes in Ao or Sumi or Angami or Lotha accents as role models. As such, I appreciate her effort in trying to emulate the accent of native English speakers. Just so you know, she's from Ungma Village, and English in Ungma accent isn't something one should perk up their ears to.
