Even he said in one of his interview that he was happy working in TV serials but just to make more money he came in movies and started working hard. you can see his high energy and crazy acting in many of his early movies, he even didn't care about his future at that time you can notice that, he did movies like maya memsaab, baazigar, darr these types of movies could have ended his career but he was very lucky audience accepted him & liked him a lot and that's why he is a biggest superstar today.

You can clearly see the difference like jab koi bat song, he has sung that with proper heavy bass, husky voice on the other hand If you will listen to a song like mohabbat ho na jaye, it has melodious nasal touch. His nasal voice is loved more by the people during late 90s. Reason of his decline in mid 2000s was the very high peak he has seen in 1990-2000 era. On the other hand If you see, udit narayan his peak was not that much in 90s, it was in late 90s and early 2000s. Other singers like Kishore kumar, rafi, they also grew in similar manner, slowly slowly. Kumar sanu is only singer i think who took a peak very early in career (From Aashiqui)

Points to be noticed: 1. Effortless natural acting of SRK, his energy & innocence. Also, beautiful assistance by Deepa Shahi, looked so gorgeous even with her quite ordinary look, acted beautifully and as per script. She actually is the person responsible for running of this movie. And kudos to the director team as this story was quite bold at that time, had to eventually cut scenes even after giving "A" rating. 2. Beauty of Pandit Hridaynath Mengeshkar's music in this song. It was not easy as expected, yet not too tough like that of "Lekin" movie songs. Fantastic singing by Sanu da. Really one of those underrated bollywood songs.

You are wrong. 90s was a very mediocre year of Indian Cinema music . It was the decade of Indi Pop and Rock. Yes A.R. Rehman came in the 90s but other than that it was ordinary . This album was very good but not a hit. 90s audience was equally poor.

Was a Teen boy, and this movie was advertised as a Adult movie, and after so many years this movie song just popped up on youtube. I am yet to watch this movie. going by story line on Wiki. Movie seems to be way ahead of its time. Maya Memsaaab in today Era might find way out to be happy which was not available in 90's.
