The reason why they did the map before the character select is so that when the game starts, the camera pans into the start of the match with the character already in place. Watch how as soon as he picks his characters, the camera pans into the fight.

Thank you SO so much for talking about the controls, I have been so worried ever since the announcement that this would play similar to Kakarot, while I have no real issue with Kakarot, it would NOT feel the same as a Budokai Tenkaichi continuation with those controls, as well as THANK YOU for showing & explaining the Classic Controls, that genuinely brought a tear to my eye that I don't really have anything to worry about. The details, controls, function, graphics, everything so far makes this out to be the most perfected Dragon Ball game probably since Xenoverse was introduced, and I am SO ready to drop my paycheck and take some vacation days in October

They put stage selection before character selection because of the transition to gameplay; you pick a stage and it can load that stage, and then load all the characters you select onto it, so as soon as you're done picking your character it can do that slick camera pan to behind your character for the fight instead of going to a loading screen

So far so good, everything looks extremely reassuring At one exception though, the camera still does weird things at times, and glitches through walls and ground, I hope it will be fixed I also noticed maps still have weird invisible walls on their extremities, so I really hope it won’t cause bugs and glitches, cause in the old games, this was one of the most annoying thing, it caused the camera to go completely crazy, combos to drop, follow up attacks to fail, etc, it was very annoying

12:20 That combo usually confirms when you’re behind your opponent, otherwise they can vanish. You’d basically have to set up to use the step in without it being punished or blocked.

Rush-in attacks that you mentioned in the 12 minute mark seem to be in the game. Go to Afro’s video (15:25) and you’ll see the CPU trunks perform one against his Goku. It looks like you can still end them with the standard square ending too, so that much is different.

I know this will sound like heresy but maybe parking zero should take the ability to highlight your opponet like you can with xenoverse lock on. That way you have a visual indicator on where the enemy is. Tho idk about keeping the arrow system. That's their mainly to help stamina break

I really hope meteor combination is in this game because that is my favorite Goku move. I remember using that move a lot. It was so much fun using that move. The animation is great too. It was such a disappointment that DragonBall Z Kira did not give us that moved for an unable skill, but we see it for a cut scene. What a letdown I’m having high hopes for this game and hoping that this game will have that move and let us use it, it’s a very overpowered move. At least I believe it’s one of overpowered melee attacks.

They might add it, in some games like raging blast definitely let you turn off your HUD to take out the prompts for boosting and health which added to impression for me!
