Miami wouldn't have a qb. It would be a slaughtering.

We basically didn't have one game 1. I'd love to play them again.

@@Godfatherws Ward definitely wouldn’t want that smoke in a Gator revenge game. 🙂

That would be gane #2 of 3 games between them in a 12 month period. I don't think that's what people want to see.

Florida beat LSU and Ole miss, or did anyone forget about that. I believe the gators are playing better football than anyone.

Uf vs Michigan might be cool

What about Michigan, is that an option?

Then what would be the point of winning your conference? That should mean something and the bye is the incentive
@treytheginger6 күн бұрын
Why should Boise State get a bye over Georgia, Tennessee, Ohio State, etc? Boise State hasn't defeated a team in the top 40 this year. They should be guaranteed a 12th seed at best.

So by your logic if Texas and UGA met in the SaeC championship #1 and #2 regardless of outcome both should be awarded a first round bye..which goes back to my point..whats the point of playing a conference championship game

Guys. The precedent was set last year when UGA was #1 all year and lost the SECCG and dropped 5 spots to 6Th and out of the playoffs. SMU will drop 5 spots out of the playoff too. UGA was better off forfeiting the SECCG to Bama….

I don’t know maybe I’m wrong, but I believe that all of the teams last year won their conference. It was Washington, Texas, Alabama, and Michigan if I’m remembering correctly and I think all of them had one loss so I don’t think with that system there was a way to keep Georgia in it.

@ you are not wrong. However, last year, there was no rule that the conference champions automatically got into the playoff. It was still the principal that the four best teams would get in. Washington, while 13-0 was not a better team than Georgia for the first 13 weeks of the season, but because Georgia had to play an elite team in their conference championship game, and lost that one game meant that Washington was a better team than Georgia? Also, there was the wildcard with Florida State having won their conference championship, but also being left out. I guess my point is if SMU does not win against Clemsonthere is no way they deserve to be in given the number of quality wins. They have on their résumé relative to other teams that would be ranked near them.

@ yeah you’re right. But at least now we have a mess between 12 and anyone below that instead of teams there clearly in the upper upper echelon. But no doubt you’re right

Only 2 ways this should have ended 1 The batter absolutely smashes that ball for a home run 2 the umpire tosses everyone dancing out.
