As Tarzan circa 1985, he is the most masculine and most handsome man in all of Indian movie industry till date. Period. He had a naturally toned,tanned and sculpted body in the right proportions. A very handsome(not slick) face. I suspect he was physically strong too, not just looked strong. Even his hairs are lush and beautiful. None of the disproportionate steroid muscles of todays heroes, with unnaturally defined cuts(diuretics). He had the body of a (scientifically) ideal man... I would even go on to say he is the best looking of all the Tarzans whether Hollywood or Bollywood, including Weissmuller.

Hemant birjie's debut movie tarzan by b subhash was first offered to mahesh anand but b subhash changed his mind and cast hemant birjie as tarzan. Hemant birjie also acted in veerana and it was a hit like tarzan but hemant's career didn’t go well after these hits. In april 2012, he was in news for allegedly abusing his daughter and battering his wife and later in the same year he was involved in a drunken brawl with friends.
