A timely video Adam, as I was there 3 weeks ago shooting some footage for my S-Log colour grading practice. i think this will be a winner , and is long overdue , especially since the explosion of residential high rise in Kangaroo Point! well done on the exclusive visit! Cheers Gregg.

Thx 4 the update. Looking good. Re cafe open after 3pm. Wondering if you knew BNE is one of the earliest raising cities in the world. Half our cafes are open by 6am, so by 3 pm they've done 9 hours of trading. Mornings at sunrise are glorious winter and summa.
@BrisbaneChannelАй бұрын
I have no beef with morning people, and there's no denying the beauty of that time of day. I do, however, dislike that despite the increasingly diverse demographics here, one culture is forced on everyone. But I suppose it's all about the demand, and there's just not enough people that work to a later schedule to encourage hours outside that early start, early finish norm. And I also know too little about the economics and practical aspects of running a cafe to comment on how they should run their business. It's just one of those culture clashes between dominant Brisbane culture and my own that I've never fully resolved. I do love the place, but I wish it wasn't a city made predominantly for morning people (apart from those few outlying businesses scattered around the place).

Which firms are responsible for the engineering design and for construction? Maritime design requirements Architectural background Outcomes of stakeholder engagement process, e.g. indigenous consultation, environmental impacts, heritage impacts, impacts on homeowners over at kangaroo point Can we stand on it during riverfire? How much did it cost?

Are we going to get wow so excited about it?> How about you guys get excited with the goodwill bridge and the story bridge or did the wow factor died off ? thats what it will happen with this new bridge. Also the queens wharf sort of dying off as well... wow when it first open but very quickly boring just walks and walls around it. Lets get real here we dont need another bridge. they shouldn't built a bridge when there's already bridges and Brisbane city just looks very small compare other major cities. Also they seem to only care so much about parks and bridges. How about work hard enough other outskirts of Brisbane.. The suburbs. @@marsvickrasvoski I definitely agree with you that more needs to be done for active transport in the suburbs. looks ugly the bridge and very low. Now harder for not even a taller boat to cross over it like they used to years ago among the brisbane river with a few. Now its a low bridge and it doesnt look very apealing at all its like half design bridge just like half design bridge for the goodwill bridge. Ugly and cheap looking
@marsvickrasvoskiАй бұрын
the goodwill bridge looks terribly stupid design the way you look at it its like as if the bridge is small in the part of the middle part and then its just a long stretch simple bridge constructor. The over shape bridge looks tiny compare how wide the river is. Try figuire that out. I really don't like that at all. Melbourne bridge looks more professional design. Todays bridges in Brisbane is like half the design of bridge with half the constructor built and the rest if like a simple cheap straight line.

Again no offence to you but you don't just own Brisbane yourself. So im going to say why on earth need this bridge and spent more money when there's already bridges ? How about WOW how excited one can be to walk cross the story bridge or did the story bridge died off as quick as it happens ? Same goes for the Queens Wharf... are you excited to cross the bridge to go there or are you going to eventually be Meh,,, Its just another place and a typical bridge ? Its not like your living in the bridge. What you should be worried is.,... when more people live in Brisbane MORE CRIMES comes to Brisbane. Excited as you get older and well being? I bet not. You may be young but not that young anymore you may be naïve today but wait when the while scenario is just another day bridge. The bridges in Brisbane are terrible. Now you cant bring in large boats like what they used to in the 80s and 90s.... all the fun and spectacular of the river now you have low set bridges unable to even cross a large taller boat like that used to when it used to go back and forth. Who cares about the bridge. I mean what you should be focus on about is your suburb. Not the city itself. And its not as if your going to study there all your life. Lifes too short to remain at the same job all your life.. you will quit and move on and better more would ask yourself to move out up the mountains or somewhere quieter. For now i think somone is naïve.. and a little too cocky by all means about just a bridge. I mean nice document video. But that does NOT make you special or VIP to grand view of the bridge..... Your just one of MANY vloggers who are already making the same video as you. So there's no winner. I rather like to see the city grow by expanding rather then wow so much about a walking bridge... its not as if the bridge is going to feed me lottery every time i cross it. Plus why would i want to cross it since i dont live in kangaroo point.. Wasting time to cross it just to see views when you can stand perfectly at the kangaroo point park to see the city and the cliffs What more do you want. Think about it. Again no offence but you keep going on and on about transportation... Do you even drive a car to be so worried about transportation? Who cares about transports... People have legs to walk. Its not a retirement city to start with. Too many buses is beyond 100% ridiculous in the city. Walk into the city only 20% you see people walking in the city and 80% just buses everywhere one behind the other. Ridiculous. Train stations never that full and always runs slow every time. So why should we care so much about transport when you have nice things to do in your own damn suburbs the Westfield malls. The city just seems nothing more then a business hub. Nothing else. Talking how boring no entertainment in Brisbane its no wonder why 90% of Queenslanders are always majorly overseas on holidays and on long term stays else where.. Think of it big cities that has way better fun things to do then Brisbane. Anyways not sure why im saying this since you are not a politician to start with. But hey keep the good work going and take care..... Just move on about the while wow factor about a bridge. Why dont you say the same thing for the goodwill bridge ? why dont you get that excited ? see ? the excitement has died off.. soon after it will happen with new things in Brisbane coming up. Lets get real here. Spending money is not good. And no one careless about the 50cents as it still cost money to begin with and who would want to go to ? just to spent 50 cents to go to a place in the city where theres nothing other then a office buildings? wake up please. Take care and thank you... P.S this is why Queenslanders don't give a damn rat a** because they know they better off survive to make money else where while your pathetically politicians in brisbane are as bad as a unprofessionalism HELP Queenslanders with rent and money wise.. Who cares about a damn bridge. We already have a city what more do you want..... Move on and travel around the world instead rather then been stuck in the same hallow place. No offence.

@@AudioTones67 I agree with vargensen. We don't need another bridge. And after all its just a bridge. No need to be that exciting. It's like as he mentioned are you really going to cross the bridge every-days ? if so you must be living at Kangaroo point. Otherwise i don't care because im not from the area. Why not built a bridge at my suburb ? Well said vargenson.
@marsvickrasvoskiАй бұрын
I really dont like the bridge design at all. Even worse the Goodwill bridge. Its like a tiny bridge stuck in the half middle of the river and the rest is like a simple instructor line to talk past it but not a shape bridge. The shape bridge over shape looks tiny compare to how wide the river is. It would had been nice if the bridge was over shape from the start and to the end. Not half in the middle shape as if the bridge is taller in the middle and the rest if not because its not over shape like it is in the centre of the bridge design. Anyways you know what i mean. Really bad dodgy design. not everyone even likes the bridge. Maybe you do only because you had accese to see it but i bet you wouldn't give a tart about it if they say to you No you cant visit it then you be making consumption about the bridge. Why are you so excited about the bridge anyways ? Do you live in the area? By the way you need to fix your teeth lol look like that guy from the bee-gees.. Wont say much.. Cheers mate

I welcome differing opinions, which is why you'll see people write essays in the comments about how much they think this channel is wasting time on whatever topics it covers or how horrible they think this city is. That kind of freedom of speech gives people the opportunity to see different points of view. I'm all for that. However attacks on people's appearance of any kind are not the kind of thing I want to see on the channel, as it does not contribute to a positive environment or stimulate any meaningful discussion. I don't care if it's me or anyone else being critiqued, any more of that and you will be hidden from the channel.
@marsvickrasvoskiАй бұрын
@@BrisbaneChannel I'm sorry wasn't harassing your appearance... The city is just basically a nice little city but what is so ideal about it anyways. Its not big at all and its just offices in the area. People focus more on the suburbs they live in. Wasting BILLIONS of dollars one thing to another Millions with Billions around the city? Why not spent the very same fundamental amount of dollars and yes BILLIONS to make all suburbs better and more a city to themselves in the area. The whole Brisbane city is not where the whole people are living in it. Look at the suburbs. They could already had built a Billion dollar queens wharf at a suburb and a expensive Bridge as well as big as the one you see in the Brisbane river but more a creation at the suburbs. Sick of it only focuses of a city. I don't appreciate your politicians of QLD. Keep well.
@BrisbaneChannelАй бұрын
I can understand the frustration. As I move to deeper videos, I'll be looking at issues like this. For example, the one on active transport does raise the imbalance of attention given to infrastructure in the city vs the suburbs.
@marsvickrasvoskiАй бұрын
@@BrisbaneChannel great look forward to it. I mean we can't just think only transportation and more just green parks. There is already for years and years parks everywhere you go to in Brisbane. Its a huge playground but too much spaces but hardly no one is at a park when i last drive around in diferent suburbs. So not sure why create parks when all i saw was an alderly walking by herself with a small little dog with the leash on. Also transportation why just focus on that. Just make the city bigger. Transportation is not a City and if Transportation is so must. Then focus on the outskirts of Brisbane. People live in the suburbs. People dont just live inside a city where office buildings are located. Would be good to see suburbs transform better just like how they do with the city. I mean i dont no. Perhaps create a river in the many suburbs and stack a billion dollar bridge at the surburbs. Take care good work
