It is not so much avoiding eye contact with the interviewer. Even if she is covered up and wore a hijab...Technically, Khabib should lower his line of sight to look at the ground..since let's face it..the lady is lovely. And that is a possible source of temptation for Muslim men like Khabib....who should fight an inner battle within himself to continue to respect the modesty of the lady.... But some Muslim men do not want to practice that and instead forces Muslim women to don the burkha. Source..my paternal Grandfather explain it to me. Not a madrasah educated. Never once seen him wearing luxury clothes or driving expensive cars/jet/yacht or him brag about how much money he has even though being a owner of a fighting organization. Instead he spend the money on his people and take care of his village, i even remember his first trip after beating Conor was to help people in Nigeria by building wells to have access to clean water compared to Adesanya flexing his belt when it doesn't bring any benefit to his own people in Nigeria. As always, Khabib's an exemplar of humility & honesty. Great interview & kudos to the interviewer. Really glad he addressed the topic of Charles Oliveira, explaining how the MMA media is constantly attempting to create an artificial animosity between himself/his team & him (Oliveira), when no such enmity actually exists. In fact, he goes on to commend Oliveira for the very achievement of becoming a UFC champ, particularly mentioning how he did this whilst hailing from some of the most impoverished lodgings imaginable. Even goes on to further express his admiration for Charles constantly coming back from adversity. It's just seemed so odd to me that a ~small but vocal minority of Oliveira fans intertwine their praise for him with slanderous malign against Khabib/his team, as if praising the two can't co-exist?? That lack of sportsmanship is specifically what Khabib & Charles are both against. I'm sure these guys would be absolute bros if they had more opportunities meet. Lots of mutual respect, that's for sure.
