*Just to clarify, the equal pay is at the national team level, not at the domestic league level. It was unfair that the women's national team which has won four World Cups and several gold medals in the Olympics was getting as a reward less money than the men's team which hasn't won any international championship.*

After the ad, I loved Rose's comment about re-reading. Early in the pandemic, when the library was closed, I started re-reading a lot of the books on my shelves. It was great to see books I haven't read in decades.

I'm calling it. Something is brewing in the Washington Spirit lockeroom. There's no chemistry amongst the midfielders and defenders. The passing and cohesiveness is horrible. I think because the forwards on the team get all of praise, maybe there's some jealousy. I hope the coach address this blatant issue.

I think you are right but I believe it is more so between Sanchez and Rodman. Even though they claim to be friends, Sanchez has stop passing the ball to Rodman even in situations where Rodman is wide open. Rodman still pass the ball to both Hach and Sanchez, but since Rodman signed her new contract, Sanchez will not pass her the ball no matter how open she is.

I'm sorry but If it's only Rose going up against the trio then expect the Spirit to win. Reign doesn't really have any threat upfront and their defense have been suspect as well. Could have been 3 loses straight without Phallon bailing them out.

Rose Lavelle is not known to be a scorer yes she has great soccer skills but scoring isn’t one of them and if they had to depend on her for scoring they aren’t going to win many games. Thought they have forwards there isn’t one that stands out as a legitimate scoring threat

“Reign doesn’t really have any threat upfront.” Tziarra King (who is currently tied with Ashley Hatch for 2nd in the 2022 Golden Boot race) and Bethany Balcer (who finished last year’s golden boot race 1 goal behind Ashley Hatch) say hello! 😊 Also, to the point of Phallon “bailing them out” that’s literally what goalies are supposed to do…?! The Spirit wouldn’t have beaten Reign in the Challenge Cup semifinal without that penalty save from Aubrey. Like, yes, that’s literally how soccer works.
