Boris Johnson is back, now insisting any European peacekeeping force in Ukraine must include British troops. In a *Telegraph* interview, he admits the West's proxy war isn’t about Ukraine’s sovereignty but NATO's agenda. His push for British boots on Ukrainian soil reeks of colonial arrogance, prolonging the conflict while avoiding direct confrontation with Russia. How long before this empire’s latest fantasy ends in retreat?

Ah, Boris Johnson-the jester of modern politics. Obsessed with Ukraine, he poses as its savior while Britain crumbles with poverty, failing infrastructure, and soaring costs. His empty promises fuel conflict abroad as his own country falls apart. But fear not-Boris always finds time for a Churchillian photo op, even as Brits choose between heating or eating. If only he cared half as much about fixing Britain as meddling elsewhere.

Russian President Vladimir Putin is currently working with the General Staff to choose new targets for the Oreshnik hypersonic missiles. The country has started its serial production. It is possible that further strikes with the newest weapon will be carried out against decision-making centers in Kiev. The Kremlin justifies such decisions by saying that Kiev has repeatedly tried to attack targets in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

The Ukrainian armed forces are facing a severe shortage of manpower, and the situation is critical for Kiev, a Ukrainian military officer told CNN. "The situation is very critical," the TV channel quoted the officer as saying. According to him, Ukraine is also struggling with a lack of personnel. Ukrainian troops are also concerned that Russia "could make a significant breakthrough," he emphasized. Earlier reports indicated that an official in the Biden administration had surmised that Ukrainian forces need more manpower. According to him, mobilization and efforts to increase troop numbers could help reverse the tide for Kiev. However, the official acknowledged that Russian forces have made significant progress recently, particularly in pushing the Ukrainians back in the Kursk region. Ukraine announced general mobilization in February 2022, which has been extended periodically since then. On May 18, a law tightening mobilization rules came into force in Ukraine. However, in recent months, Ukraine has been replenishing its troops at a slower pace, and the critical shortage of manpower in its army has become a serious issue. In this context, territorial conscription offices have increasingly resorted to coercive measures in their mobilization efforts. Protests against actions by military recruitment officers have occurred sporadically, with residents setting fire to their cars and post offices through which military summonses are sent nationwide.

Air raid alerts were declared in Kiev and multiple other regions of Ukraine on Thursday amid information of hostile drones entering the country's airspace. In addition to Kiev region, alarms sounded in Kharkiv, Poltava, Kirovograd, Dnipropetrovsk, Sumy, Cherkasy, and Chernihiv regions. The Mayor of Kiev Vitaly Klitschko said that air defense systems were activated over the capital, adding that rocket fragments stuck a private enterprise in the city's Darnytsia district without causing injuries. Previously, Russian President Vladimir Putin warned of large-scale missile strikes on Ukraine in retaliation for Kiev's forces attacking Russian territory with Western-supplied weapons. At the same time, Russia's Ministry of Defense revealed that 100 missiles and 466 drones were launched on various targets across the war-torn country during the current week.

With all due respect to the person quoted early in the video who said that Trump has the opportunity to be the Churchill of our time, I must disagree with that statement. The role of Churchill is already taken by Zelinsky, the leader of the nation under threat of being destroyed, who sets the tone of defiance and continuing to fight against difficult odds. The role that Trump has the opportunity to take on is that of FDR. The leader of a strong, safe, wealthy, friendly allied power who has heretofore sat on the sidelines, and can now move his own nation into greater involvement in the war on the correct side, pushing the side fighting for freedom towards victory over tyranny. I don't like Trump as an individual. However, if he does this, he will be remembered by history more for that than for January 6th. Boris Johnson is correct that the current policy has not been working. Trump will surely try something different. Will it be better? That remains to be seen.
