Jon Cain is not a founding member of Journey. Get your facts straight before you make a video. He came into Journey after 7 or 8 years, after founding member Gregg Rolie left and suggested Cain as his replacement. And yes, this matters because Neal Schon IS a founding member.

You all are missing what is happening. Their manager died last year of cancer and his responsibilities fell to the two men who have ownership stakes in the band. And they can't agree on money management. So one is suing the other. Reminds me of what broke up Van Hagar.

Herbie had not been their manager in decades.

During the "Trial By Fire" reunion, Perry insisted that Herbie be replaced as manager. Irving Azoff replaced Herbie at that time in the late 1990's. Lately, Neal has said he is manager of the band, but even that recently changed. Neal and Jonathan are owners of two LLC's (corporate entities) that had been given license of the Journey trademark by Nightmare Productions (who owns the Journey trademark)...so they can record and tour. The current lawsuit is within the LLC that they are part of after Perry left the band back in 1998...which Herbie had nothing to do with.

Jonathan Cain might not be a founding member of Journey, but make no mistake He along with Steve Perry and Neal Schon co-wrote most all of Journey's iconic songs. From the time he joined. Many of them starting with the piano. He and Steve mostly wrote the lyrics and Neal was incredible on writing much of the music. The 3 had crazy magical chemistry. They all had their place in creating the Journey sound and earned their place in the band.
