Exclusive | K-drama Stars Cha Eun-woo, Kim Nam-gil On Island, Say ‘love From India Is Encouraging’

K-drama stars Cha Eun-woo and Kim Nam-gil spoke to India Today’s Bhavna Agarwal about their upcoming show, Island. The fantasy drama premieres on Amazon Prime Video on December 30, 2022. Cha Eun-woo plays the role of a priest while Kim Nam-gil plays the role of a demon-slayer in the series. The show also stars Lee Da-hee and Sung Joon in pivotal roles. In an exclusive chat, Cha Eun-woo shares if he had apprehensions taking up a diverse role, given that he played a heartthrob in his earlier show, True Beauty. Kim Nam-gil reveals his process of choosing a particular script and a character which is closest to him even today. When informed about the overwhelming love Cha Eun-woo enjoys in India, he thanked fans for the love and said that it encourages him. Don’t miss this interview.

I love the good relationship between all the actors, ChaEunwoo always listens to his co-stars and takes all the advice they can give him. I must be sounding salty when I say this but please take it as a constructive criticism. I feel like the new host needs to work up on her skills a bit more, especially making it more interactive. For example, around 2:40 she asked so many questions at a time but didn't let him respond. There are also several other similar nuances (for example, monotonous voice) like that all over the interview which makes the atmosphere uncomfortable.

Je m'excuse de dire ça mais je pense que c'est une des premières vidéos que je vois qui me met autant mal à l'aise (et pour les acteurs aussi )... on voit bien que les acteurs ne comprennent pas bien les questions, car l'anglais est mal prononcé. L'interview aurait dû être plus travaillé, avec un traducteur par exemple. Je suis un peu déçue, et espère que vous ne faite plus d'interview comme celui-ci pour le confort des acteurs.
