At that price, I would imagine its prospective market may be limited to those who _already own_ a real 959. Still, the ambition is admirable. At the very least, as a flagship it should attract customers to their more, erm, accessible offerings? As for me, a common tax-cow, I can only hope this beauty gets featured in a racing sim...

nah its just coach built. Coachbuilding is when you pay a company to modify or build a chassis to fit your very specific criteria. Restomods are cars that you personally build to fit your specific criteria , either because you can't afford to pay the company or simply feel you could do a better job. Examples of modern day coachbuilders: Singer, Emory, Ruf(though they use new bodies in white directly from Porsche) , Alpina , Mansory(yes even if its terrible sometimes), Brabus, Built by legends(r32-r34 gtrs), Mitsuoka(yes, the Orochi is an NSX underneath), AMG(used to be but bought out by the OEM in the mid 90s), Gemballa(yep they're still around), and lastly TWR(though they have recently returned, I have great hopes for them). Thats all of the modern day coachbuilders I can remember off the top of my head. Oh almost forgot Ghia.

It looks really cool but doesn't remind me of a 959. The 959 looks like a sculpture. This is more race car/ Batmobile with all of the intakes and winglets. I understand that it's necessary because of the increased performance.
