Jokes have always been Spider-Man's way of masking his nerves and putting the people he's trying to save at ease (while also hurting the villain's confidence by making them think he doesn't take them seriously). Eventually, it became part of Peter Parker's actual personality (when he was younger, he wasn't a very humorous or personable kid; in fact, he was pretty bratty, but he grew out of it), whereas Miles is still in that early stage of trying to steel his nerves by flapping his mouth.

Peter's powers came to him not only when superheroes were relatively new (save for the Invaders from WWII, assuming they existed in this universe), but when he was a loner who was bullied and felt left out. From behind the mask, he felt empowered and grew more confident. Miles isn't quite there yet (in the game, anyway) and the world's already used to one Wallcrawler, but Spider-Man also means something somewhat different to him as an individual, so it's a new experience all-around.

Despite the fact that they're wearing masks, Insomniac is still able to show so much emotion and personality in the Spider-Men. Peter is more calm and in control of his powers. Miles, is still getting used to the superhero life. We see him slide down a wall while Peter sticks like it's nothing. Miles almost grabs Peter's arm to hide behind him when Rhino starts breaking out of the container while Peter just turns around like "what now?" Even the eyes convey a ton. Peter is calm and focused, so his lenses are narrow or normal. Miles is green and a bit scared, not only is he still not used to this, he messed up and is afraid he disappointed his mentor and idol, so his lenses are open all the way during the whole sequence.

Notice how at 0:03 seconds when peter and miles are on the wall trying to web up rhinos "box" that peter uses both his hands to shoot webs while miles only uses one, I think this is an incredible detail, notice how peter uses purely his legs to stay attached to the wall, while miles keeps his legs and one arm on the wall. This is because peter has been spiderman for 8 years and trusts his abilities to the point of sticking to a wall only using his legs. Miles is obviously inexperienced and very new to this, he does not completely trust himself or his abilities yet which is why he keeps one arm on the wall to insure he won't fall off that wall, he doesn't trust his abilities to that for him completely yet. I'm over shooting this but I think it's intentional

I actually love the re-use of a previous boss. It gives it a real comic feeling, like when Spiderman keeps fighting the same villains in the series/comics because they are a part of the universe. Just hope we get to fight Shocker again

@@incognitofool6516 Oh most definitely. I loved Spidey on the PS4. Overall fantastic game but the Combat and swinging/traversal mechanics were exceptional. Man that combat was something else. I'm actually a huge Insomniac fan. Been one since Riptos Rage on PS1. It makes me glad to see they're getting the attention they deserve.
