Overall, this is generally an improvement over the previous range, although I think that the D4-2 has lost some length in its front seats, meaning that using them as single beds may now be more difficult. If the range is intended for people to enjoy the great outdoors as CaravanTV keeps waxing lyrical about, then the D4-4 would have perhaps been better having two single beds as you may very well go with a friend and not necessarily your partner. Furthermore, you'd avoid that daft cut-off in the double-bed. Opinions will differ on that. The D4-4L however, is the update that was sorely needed. The previous D4-3 had so many deal breaking points on it that it wasn't even worth considering. The D4-4L is conversely so good that I think that it will eat into D4-2 sales as they are more or less of the same length with only approximately 38cm difference between them in overall (shipping) length. Perhaps Bailey should have made the D4-2 the same length and added a rear-end washroom to be an alternative to the Phoenix 420 and make more of a distinction between the D4-4L.

In my opinion I think where this scores over the Swift Basecamp is that the storage is more "conventional" 🤔
