Peter that transmission have 15 years, and uses because it's the only that support up to 1100nm of torque, but, for the next gen, it will possibly have a 9g-tronic that support that amount of torque or more...

Rather than buying Maybach S650, better to buy regular top spec S Class for being chauffeured around & buy Audi R8 or C63AMG when you want to drive yourself. Buying a V12 & giving it to chauffeur is complete wastage of money.

Dear S Class Aficionado's, The features stated to be exclusive to Maybach are actually all present in S450 with exception to length and 3D Burmester Car Audio 26 Speakers & Panaromic Tint or Magic Sky. Brake Assist, Relaxed Mood Massage, Energising Comfort, Customised Ambilight, Body Lift option with Multi Colour Settings and others are all in Regular S450. Other perverse info is price difference between regular S and Maybach to be 83 L. The S 350 & 450 Class are 1.35 & 1.39 Ex Showroom without options. Maybach is for 1.9 which makes price difference of only 51 L and not 83 as wromgfully stated. Pity they eat garbage and blur out same. God save us from such reviewers. Pity he didnt learn much in two decades he is reviewing cars. Now he has his own channel.....😐 Beware Guys.

Agree. Regular top end S Class is far more VFM than this one. Except for some increase in wheelbase, only what changes is the badge of Maybach. As far as engine is concerned, the V12 doesn't make much of a difference when compared to V8 or even V6 diesel when you are being chauffeured. V12 will be enjoyed only by the driver !!
