I went to see this show while it was in previews in Manchester, UK. Really brilliant show, very faithful to the movie. The cast are all fab too, Gabriel Vick especially was a standout as Daniel - he didn't try to recreate the genius of Williams' Mrs. Doubtfire, he honoured it with his performance. I'd definitely recommend seeing it, you'll leave with a big smile on your face from laughing too much.

@@JackHillidgethanks for clarifying! I work in theatre and there’s no way you can quick change someone that fast. This quick change would need at least 20 seconds to pull off and this was about 7. I figured it was either pre shot OR they subbed him out for someone else in the chair.

I have not seen my daughter who is now almost six for the last three years. My ex was the one cheating while we where married & still got everything in the divorce. And now these stupid family courts are fine with me not even being able to video chat with my kid for years. I can't believe father's are treated like this in 2024 USA. Also sad that so many innocent kids go through this. Last time i was on a video chat with my daughter she told me that i was her cousin. Guess the courts are fine with kids being lied to and kept away from their father's........... I'll never understand how any of this is ok.

It looks like they changed one of the names (for the influences) for the UK. I'm watching, and one of the names is Angie Merkle. In the US, that particular reference is Janet Reno. I doubt many people outside the US would know who Reno is (honestly, a lot of people INSIDE the US probably don't know who she is).

I'm glad they gave some autonomy to the brother and his partner, by at least one of them pointing out how weird and wrong it is. Also, Daniel didn't just mess up once; he was continually making it harder & harder for Miranda, like an extra child. On top of that, his "principles" got him fired, which oddly enough didn't include lying to the only people who actually care about him. His character didn't really grow in the movie, so I'm hoping they gave that to him in the musical. P.S. This was great performance.
