Omg, I loved that he not only spoke on it but that he brought it up himself! That was certainly something I questioned and wanted to know more about in regards to what all was going through his head because you could honestly interpret him entering back into the Villa a number of ways. One his entrance could've been perceived as arrogant as of he knew without a shadow of a doubt that Justine was waiting for him or two, he was nervous as he mentioned yet excited to see her awaiting him as he hoped and as a means to play things as cool as he could. I know me personally, I began over analyzing certain things out of fear that I was becoming this hopeless Jaleb romantic (which I became) all for me to be blind to a potential truth, or that I was creating a narrative I wanted to be there but truly wasn't, etc. All in all they made the show much better than many would have ever expected and I enjoyed every moment of theirs!

I'm so glad Caleb brought up the post-Casa Amor recoupling. It almost feels like a forgotten milestone in their relationship. I think Casa Amor really set the tone and the sincerity of their relationship, but also for the rest of their time on the show. For me, that was the best recoupling. It was so refreshing to hear because I definitely wondered what was going on through his head then seeing him come back as he did, but couldn't help but think about the comments he made even at Casa Amor regarding Sher. When he said that cuddling with her was the first time he felt himself holding back I initially overlooked that but couldn't help but to question whether or not he was genuinely attracted to Justine, at least physically. Between that and the conversations they had when Justine spoke on how he was hard to read and how she would like for him to initiate their physical interactions more, it had me wondering. The heart rate challenge just came to mind as well, but I'll let that rock.

Not gonna lie I side eyed the shit outta him when he spoke about that towards Sher then tried to soften it talking about Justine was wife material. I was about to climb through the tv. But I'm guessing through talking to Sher more he realized it was just physical & Justine was it for him. I also think they were both aware of the cameras & the image they wanted to portray so they kept it PG mostly. Maybe he didn't initiate because he knew her fear & concern for what her parents would think too. But he definitely stepped up when she expressed her concern. As for the heart rate thing Season 1 islanders said the monitors don't work but even if it actually went up for Laurel it does not necessarily mean he's more attracted to Laurel than Justine. The way he is with her & looks at her shows me he's into her. I hope & pray they make it for the long haul & I'm glad they're not rushing into anything to please ppl.

@@teylernacole32 I really feel like some of those conversations were edited to make it seem a certain way because the producers were pushing really hard for Jely to win and were trying to push really hard for the narrative that they like to spin for black girls on this show. The fact that they didn't even show that Mike was making a real play for Justine during Casa adds to that. They wanted it to seem like no one was really interested in her. It's annoying and I'm glad that black Twitter pulled receipts of "Jaleb in the background" and they were able to overcome the edit that they tried to give them.

I also would think that guys (especially an aware guy like Caleb) would also think about how their actions would be portrayed on screen in light of the Me too movement. Deandre spoke about it being harder for the guys in Casa Amor because they wanted to keep it rescpecful and couldn't be forward like the girls were over on the other side and that definitely makes sense....especially for black guys
