Man I hope so 🙏 all the research I got on him is that he's not a very good basketball player 😕 even in college 😕 the only reason he got drafted high was all on Potential. But he's saying all the right things hopefully he can put it to action.

@jamesmcluvlee in high-school he was top five, at Duke I'm not sure if he was overshadow by Zion and the other guy 🤔 but who knows why he hasn't filled his potential, the reason he's a Laker is because hes Apart of clutch sports let be real. So my hope is being around LeBron, Handy, Ham, some Vets will kick his ass gear. This Laker stop is his last chance so he better make the best of it.

@@kaliboi2475honestly he’s just been in a bunch of bad situations. Got drafted to Atlanta & they already had 5 players in the same role which is part of why they fell apart last season. The knicks didn’t want to play him because they already had RJ Barrett & then he went to Portland which hasn’t been much of a winning franchise at all & outside of a handful of players haven’t really developed anybody. His role will be straight forward with LA, spot up in the corner & play hard defense, which he can definitely do.

@@doughboy5858and he did pretty good in Portland it was just too little too late and then he got injured towards the end. But I know one week he was blazers player of the week.

Kobe part 2 if they put him at 2guard and give him the ball
@nique7610 Жыл бұрын
And give him the ball is key! He's been really playing well lately, too. For me, I was hoping this would be an "unlock and unleash" season for Cam. He's trending in that direction. If they give him a lil more freedom/ responsibility on offense now that they've been building his confidence, then I could see your comment not being that far from true. I mean... he's clearly not Kobe, but I get what u mean, and I'm very hopeful for it.
@ballinforjesus3645 Жыл бұрын
@@nique7610 Yeah he's not kobe but I wouldn't be surprised if he becomes the face of the Lakers in a couple years if he comes into his own and has things go his way and they build around him. People will say it's crazy to say that until they see it happen and then magically everybody will be saying they knew it all along. Especially Lakers fans. Their are no more bi-polar fans in the world than laker fans. They love you or hate you based on what you did that week. If cam has a bad stretch and they lose games they will 100% treat him like dirt. I'm hoping Cam has a good steady season at the very least and the Lakers do well this season. If that happens, the Lakers organization and fan base may embrace him and build around him. They were talking about playing him 10-15 minutes per game along with Christie when the season began and then a bunch of injuries happened and now hes gotten a great opportunity and showed what he brings. He definitely would not have gotten the opportunity or minutes if everyone was healthy. But we will see. He can certainly have his slumps but I hope not. I hope to see him as the fourth scoring option if not tied for third along with Dlo. And maybe most improved player award who knows
@nique7610 Жыл бұрын
@ballinforjesus3645 you are speaking facts about laker fans. Straight facts. And I agree with u about Cam. My hopes for him are a bit higher and slightly less realistic, but I'm holding onto them. My hope is that he becomes a number 2 option behind AD, pushing Bron into more of a facilitator/3rd option role. I'm hoping for a huge breakout season that keeps building slowly until he's undeniable. Kinda like when McGrady went to Orlando. As for his opportunity, I honestly think he was always gonna get that, even without injuries. Not that I was predicting that or was anything, but listening to the coaches talk about him, Ham in particular... they were really high on him and liked what he potentially brought to the team in both ends. The injuries definitely helped, tho. But Ham had him in the rotation over Christie from game one when there were fewer injuries, so to me, it's clear they were intent on giving him a chance to show what he could do. So, yea, I'm hopeful for a most improved player award, and maybe more! Time will tell. If it doesn't happen, well, I could always make my dream come true in NBA2K. LOL!

@@nique7610 Facts he was getting a shot just maybe not as much from the jump. So maybe the injuries just sped things up a bit. I have those same "less realistic" hopes for cam as well. He can be that guy. It's awesome to see LeBron hyping him up. Certainly could be a "pass the torch" mentor type situation developing. I really hope LeBron and handy can open up Cams playmaking side. I was so happy to see him "almost dunk" on Ivaka zubac off the quick and subtle pumpfake move. He definitely has an all around TMac or Pg type game. Smooth and sleepy, with the sneaky athleticism. When he stole the ball last game and did an abrupt crossover and then euro to score, I don't think many really appreciate the rarity and skill level of the ball handling that is for someone his size. It kind of feels like his career was "paused" since Atlanta and RIGHT NOW he is like the typical sophomore star in the making type player. We will see!
@nique7610 Жыл бұрын
@ballinforjesus3645 Right! I loved that steal/crossover play. If he was already an established star, ESPN woulda been eating that up. But they're too focused on Lebron to notice. But yea, definitely got a "PG" flavor to him! Hope he becomes THAT GUY for the Lakers.

We all know Atlanta New York And Portland all respectfully don’t have the cultures or development coaches the lakers have … this guy point blank has underperformed to his abilities but he has a shot to do what malik monk did with lakers what Lonnie Walker did in the playoffs what Rui jus did come in with lower expectations and play back up to there abilities … nobody is saying or expecting him to be a 20 point scorer .. but if he can have a impact defensively and hit a 3 or couple a game his length and measurables will stand out with Darvin Ham and Phil Handy with there paws on his defense and shooting … I think he can have a Trevor Ariza type role (2009 title team Trevor Ariza) … I’m excited him and Taurean can really help us with Rui to solidify that wing depth

Everything I keep seeing from Hawks, Knicks, & Blazers fans keep saying the same things about Reddish when being genuine He's got the size and shooting potential, also plays defense, shown willingness to pass Not great off ball and can go missing when his shots not falling, things the Lakers I think can fix given with our success rate with recent players who were almost out of the league He's competing against Max right now for minutes who is looking like he's also ready for real playing time. I hope he can buy in
