I think abhinav knew that rubina is the one for him. Hence, he did not want to do anything impulsive and took his time for the relationship to grow. He also said, with rubina, he dint wanna say anything until he is like 100% sure and when he means it with his whole heart. He is not very expressive as rubina is but he loves her deeply!
