You all know him as one of the toughest bosses in SF3. Ever since Stranger became a playable set, it’s be a fan favorite. Equipped with a Katana sword, special Dash ability and a unique shadow move, Stranger has been a solid performer in all aspects of the game including Raids.
So, what new abilities & powers do we unlock in a fully upgraded Level 6 Stranger?

Set Bonus Overview
Level 1: Vigilance
- Critical Damage +10%
Level 2: Clash Against Destiny
- Dash: dash toward enemy & invincible; next weapon attack Destiny Attack.
- Destiny Attack: 50% of damage is Shadow; breaks through block
- Voice of Shadows: Shadow Abilities Critical damage chance +60%
Level 3: Powerful Dash
- Destiny Attack Damage +30%
Level 4: Shadow World
- Shadow Fury:
- after Dashing, 1 charge of Shadow Fury is gained for 6 sec.
- Each charge increases Shadow Damage by 20%.
- Each charge resets timer to 6 sec.
- Charges stack up to a max 4.
- Shadow Dash: Destiny Attack becomes Shadow Move & gains 35% damage.
Level 5: Lingering Fury
- Fury Charge loss reduced
Level 6: Path to the Gates
- Critical Fury: each charge increases critical Shadow ability by 10% & Shadow Damage by 25%.
- Breakthrough Dash: each Dash gives you Breakthrough Charge.

Perfect set for defeating the Frozen Prince boss who has a pegion which freezes us during the fight. The shadow dash is gonna he a lot more helpful if used against him as it helps us escape the pegion's attack. Once you are frozen, it's over for u

@@ashadowdojo No previously once we started the shadow moves of the ranged weapon and fate's end katana, even if opponent attacked you they couldn't interrupt, it had invincibility....

​He's right, previously, before the stranger set got nerfed, if you use your shadow blast ability, you'll get Invincibility, no matter how the enemy attack you, and you got longer invincibility frame when you use Shadow Onslaught ability, the Invincibility frame started immediately even before started dashing. Believe me... Stranger set is a lot more powerful before.@@ashadowdojo

The set is excellent and the best for me, at least I remember when everyone wanted it, and now that these lvls have arrived, no one wants this set anymore I got helmet and ranged attack because I struggled to collect it , what do you think, did the stranger set deserve the ability of not only meteor but also the power of shadow mind when you upgrade it to lvl 6

I think they nerfed the original set and then gave back the power over the six levels. So, when you get to level 6, it’s as strong as it was before the nerf. Maybe a little stronger. So, it’s a great set, specially after level 4. All that said, they should have added a special ability button with an additional new power. My guess is that they’ll do that either as a rework or probably more set bonus upgrade levels.

Stranger set is pretty weak compared to other sets, especially since it’s a paid set. What do you think of my rework? Stranger Set Rework Level 2: * Clash Against Destiny remains the same * Shadow ability critical chance remains the same * Weapon and ranged weapon shadow abilities become unbreakable again * Special ability: Shadow Orbs: Cause three shadow orbs to rain down on your opponent, each dealing 10% shadow damage. Counts as a shadow ability and can be critical. Cooldown: 15 seconds * Perks affecting shadow energy are only 60% as effective Level 3: * Clash damage is purely shadow and counts as a shadow ability * Clash damage +50% Level 4: * You restore 30% of your max health when entering shadow form * Shadow Fury is the same but now you lose 1 charge every 5 seconds instead of all at once. Level 5: * Shadow ability critical chance +10% Level 6: * In shadow form, Shadow Orbs turn into Dimensional Tear. Perform an unavoidable slash across the screen and deal 80% shadow damage to the enemy. Can only be used once per round. This is cannot be critical. * Each charge of Shadow Fury now increases shadow damage and shadow critical damage by 30% and shadow critical chance by 10%. * Clash gives you a breakthrough charge. * A successful physical critical attack reduces dash cooldown by 2 seconds.

This set lv6 was powerful because dash was giving shadow damage crit damage and crit chance buff and give 1 breaking charge per 1 dash.finally i will max my kotl into lv6 with new event tag😂😂😂

@@devilbravo8802 shadow artician became more powerful than before although you would still need atleast lvl 4. The best sets really depends on your playstyle. I will suggest some in terms of damage Dynastian heritage is the best for dynasty. Usurper and octopus of the damned are decent too. In heralds Anomaly hunter, chorus of the void, destroyer of epochs, spring champion, divine judge are all good at level 2.

Torturous Nightmare was significantly nerfed. The special ability unlocked at level 6 simply allows you to dodge an attack by teleportation. However, it requires a lot of practice and skill. I don’t think Torturous Nightmare is worth upgrading when compared to other sets like KOTL, DOTE, PSS & Widow.

Compare to most the sets it falls under average category, no much difference except for the speed dash and critical shadow hit which we already get in level 2. If you use right perk no doubt can continue to use shadow energy for longer period and can give more damage. Those critical shadow moves are useless if it can be interrupted easily 3:48 , 3:50 . If your opponent is human and if he uses living set or best specialist he can easily defeat him .

I wouldn’t waste my time on upgrading stranger. There are other sets that are much more powerful, it at lower levels. Unless they rework stranger, it’s a mediocre set at best.

Stranger copied that one ability from KOTL where he dashes automaticly to the enemy when attacking. And u know why stranger copied HIM ? Because KOTL looks like 10000 years old and stranger maybe be old but i think behind that mask i still an alive being

Mediocre set tbh nothing really changed. Crit after the dash is nice but they also removed the unbreakablilty of weapon and ranged shadow attacks. We need to get to level 6 just so this set can be as powerful as before faction war update. This is supposed to be the final boss set so imo it should have gotten more type of abilities like stranger's shadow meteors and sheild

Each dash charges the katana. That’s why I do a quick 3x dash. Then each time it’s available, I quickly use it to charge the katana. I don’t use it as a move to attack or evade. I use it to increase damage. What would you do better?

These players in my territory be getting insane buffs all of a sudden. Once I am at 7th place quite close to the points of the 6th place. And the next time I check the rankings, I'm at rank 17 and the top players somehow have 150-200 points more. Wth?!?!?😅🥲

The real hardcore players grind 8+ hours per day. If you have top players in your territory it’s tough. I’ve heard there’s also some way of cheating or auto clicking that goes on. So it could be that.

Everytime after completing FW and duels and everything, my rank used to be 6 or 7 in my territory till Monday. Then suddenly when I check on Tuesday, I have dropped down 10-12 ranks with the players at 6-7 rank having around 200 points more than me? Did they all pull up all nighters or what?
