Satyajeet Puri (born 25 September 1960) is an Indian actor working in the Hindi film industry. He started his career as a child artist with Satyen Bose-directed Mere Lal, released in 1966. Satyajeet Puri, son of actor-director Daljeet Puri graduated from Mithibai College. He is married to a Sindhi lady, Rita, and the couple has two children. His younger sister, Deepali Issar, is married to actor-director Puneet Issar. Satyajeet, a popular child star in the 70s, has been a part of some wonderful films. Some of his earlier films are Wapas (1969) and Khilona (1970). Some of his famous works include Anuraag (1972), Hari Darshan (1972), Bidaai (1974), Paheli (1977), etc. As an adult he worked in Arjun' (1985), Khoon Bhari Maang (1988), Shola Aur Shabnam (1992), Dulaara (1994), Zameer (1997), etc. He is credited as Master Satyajeet, Master Satyajit, Satyajeet Puri, Satyajit Puri, Satyajeet or Satyajit in cast credits of his movies. He is planning to make a film on the life of Indian hockey legend Major Dhyan Chand in which Shahrukh Khan is likely to be casted as Dhyan chand. This great actor, who has established a unique identity as an actor in Bollywood, has now started a new career as a director, whose shooting one of his first directorial film Munda Rockstar featuring Yuvraj Hans, Aditi Arya & Momd Azim as they play the lead roles. The 'SABKUJ' team had an exclusive interview with him on the sets of this musical drama film.
The Punjabi film being made under the banner of 'India Gold Films' is based on a musical drama story, through which Satyajit Puri, who has a unique identity as a veteran actor in Hindi cinema, is going to start his new cinema journey as a director. Shot this musical drama film in shoot on Chandigarh, Unna and Malwa region of Punjab, Yuvraj Singh, Aditi Arya, Mohammad Azim are playing lead roles in this film, while the music of this film has been composed by Jaidev Kumar and the lyrics have been written by Gopi Sidhu.
