ok I understand what you're asking. I mean you can group them with twinkly 2nd gen wifi devices. It also supposedly works from Android devices although I haven't actually tested that myself. I'll do that and get back to you.

Are they the same brightness as the retail lights, or are they closer to the pros ?

They are identical to the pros in brightness and size. This also means they are spaced farther apart. Home edition is about three inches. Plus and Pro are four inches. Sorry about the delay. I've been sick.

I apologize for missing your comment. Yes. It's much thicker than home edition. I've personally broken two of those yanking on them.
