The phrase "deny, defend, depose" is a legal strategy by insurance companies and defendants in litigation. Its origins are rooted in the standard approach to handling legal claims, in insurance and civil litigation. The phrase essentially describes three key steps in responding to a legal claim: 1. Deny: First, attempt to challenge or refute the allegations made in the lawsuit 2. Defend: Prepare and present legal arguments and evidence to protect against the claim 3. Depose: Conduct depositions to gather information and testimony from involved parties While the exact origin of this specific three-word phrase is not definitively documented, it reflects a longstanding legal strategy that emerged in the early to mid-20th century as tort law and insurance litigation became more complex. The term likely gained prominence during the mid-20th century when insurance companies and corporate legal departments began systematizing their approach to litigation defense. Insurance companies, in particular, developed this as a standard protocol for handling claims and lawsuits. Some legal historians suggest the phrase became widely used in the 1950s and 1960s as litigation processes became more standardized and insurance defense became a more specialized legal practice.
@TruthSeeker-z1t4 күн бұрын
Sigh... if only you would use 1% of the resources you're using on this story to do some investigative journalism on how insurance companies are able to get away with mur*der in their own way when they deny critical care.
@SD_Says4 күн бұрын
We know for a fact that insurance companies don't deny everyone. Is it possible the people they deny don't have the type of coverage needed for their specific claim? Is it possible that some people lie about pre existing conditions when filling out the insurance forms and get caught and this denied insurance? We also know that people beat insurance companies in courts many many times. Use some critical thinking skills. Stop virtue signalling from moms basement.
@The_Algorithm_4 күн бұрын
@@SD_SaysIt's also much more possible they deny claims that don't provide for the betterment of those that need procedures and medication to stay alive. People aren't virtue signaling from their mom's basements. They're mad for very legitimate reasons. You belittling them doesn't make you high and mighty. It just makes you look naive.
@TruthSeeker-z1t4 күн бұрын
@@SD_Says Of course one expects some claims to be denied but a rate of 33% is ridiculous. You have to be truly naive to not realize that a significant portion of those are legitimate claims. Truthfully, it's absurd that insurance companies get to be players and referees at the same time. Only a person with zero critical thinking skills can miss the obvious conflict of interest.
@SD_Says4 күн бұрын
@The_Algorithm_ they're misplacing their anger. I'm no fan of insurance companies overall. They do however provide a service and most people aren't having claims denied. There is always more to the denied claim stories than meets the eye. And sometimes, insurance gets it wrong. Other times people just can't accept that they weren't covered like they thought they were. Or they lied about pre-existing conditions to pay a lower rate.

But nobody is turning this guy in… it’s like Robin Hood only worse? this insurer denied my moms ambulance ride lol The reason was that she could have went by herself. Sure my unconscious mother that got revived by medics in her home could have magically transported herself to the hospital. Yes the hospital was close and I’m sure ai played that part into their decision but my mother was dying from severe blood loss and infection from a surgery that was performed on her 24 hours prior. She lost a shit ton of blood but surgeon said nothing. Her blood work showed normal level of hemoglobin and a day later it’s fatally low so not only did the surgeon almost kill my mother and didn’t say anything but the insurance couldn’t denies the ambulance. It’s all rotten. These insurance companies are like that because of the doctors and hospitals that charge $300 for one Tylenol pill.

I'm guessing the FBI is even now searching through all the Google Search questions looking for: Bus schedules for NYC, Bus schedules from the bus depot he to and disappeared. The date and location for the conference the CEO was attending. There's a bunch of things we search for and the FBI or other policing agencies can access that by request -- one of those request the companies pretty much always grant. I'd say knowing just these few things would limit the list of possibles from one in 340 million to, maybe, one in 100,000. Maybe one in 10,000. Then maybe search to see who in that list moved or didn't move during the time period. That is, if the person didn't take their cellphone with them to prevent the police from tracking his whereabouts before and after -- the cellphone not moving might actually be a more likely outcome than if the cellphone moved.
