The WBO No.1 contender gets his shot at the Montreal-based Beterbiev (18-0, 18 KOs), boxing’s only world champion with a 100 percent knockout ratio. He will be fighting professionally in the United Kingdom for the first time, with the highly decorated former amateur having fought in London at the 2012 Olympic Games.
Promoted by Frank Warren and Queensberry, in association with Top Rank, this huge 175-pound showdown will be shown exclusively on BT Sport in the UK and streaming live and exclusively on ESPN+ in the U.S.

Funny how you talk about the American nationality, when Tyson Fury also has a very loud mouth and literally does what you say but is British (obv I know he’s HW and not LHW, but just for example) I am not gonna say one nationality is louder than another, I think it’s more so personality and less nationality. Artur gave a great answer when asked who do you want on your resume? He said Anthony Yarde on Saturday night. That’s all he’s concentrating on he’s not overlooking him. Artur is a very likeable humble guy and boxing to him is a job and that’s all. Beterbiev will obliterate hurt and smash Yarde up and stop him, once he steps into a boxing ring Artur is a different person he becomes a ruthless destroyer he knows it just a job.

I LOVE a dude whose acquired such skill, been in the ring for hundreds of fights (I count amateur records and hold them in high regard) and at this point is doing this JUST to support his family/monetarily change his life. Like a master electrician of violence, its just a job. The whole "selling the fight" culture is in my opinion is a complete waste of time and kinda hacky. If you are the best, you don't have to degrade your opponent and run your mouth endlessly in order to sell yourself. I feel like a fighters work should ultimately speak for itself and Artur's absolutely does.

Bivol and Beterbiev are cut from the same cloth. Both are very focus, no non-sense approach to their jobs. Train hard, fight and take care of business. No predictions, no excessive talks, etc. That's also why they are hard sell from entertainment point of view, but people who appreciate boxing can appreciate what these two do. Can't wait until they share the same ring. I think Bivol is a bit more cheerful though 😜

I have to think Beterbiev's age is an X factor, at some point time will catch up to him and sometimes a fighter ages over night. That to me is the X factor. Yarde is a big puncher, very athletic and has chance, a very real chance but I favor Beterbiev but Yarde more than a punchers chance. Yarde is a good fighter and I expect a good fight while it lasts

Yarde makes a lot of unnecessary movement when he doesn't need to, he banks on landing one power punch at a time instead of a good combination, he makes awful footwork mistakes like L-stepping to nowhere and routinely crossing his back leg, he has a habit of moving straight back with no other defence e.g. head movement, parries, frames. In his latest fight he got considerably tired in just the 3rd round against a journeyman, and he has almost no setups at all. Yarde will gas, beterbiev will catch on to his amateur punch selection, and Beterbiev walks away with a KO around rounds 5-6.

Its crazy how you can just look at someone and know thats not the one to be playing with, Beterbiev doesn't have to say anything he just looks like he'll cave your head in if you step out of line ... The man's a beast, no other way to put it ... I expect him to become a hall of famer and possibly box well into his 50's given his discipline and commitment to the sport, the man doesn't drink, doesn't party, has a strict diet and as extremely religious ... its god and boxing for him thats it ...
