I’m a Liverpool fan, hope you get the right owners in. Think you should definitely stick with Gary O’Neil. He’s still young and I like the football he plays. Thought he was very unlucky to be sacked at Bournemouth. Hasn’t made the best start but if I’m not mistaken your last loss was the city game. If you can get out of that bottom 3 asap and he can do something early January to try and that defence out you will be a dangerous team to play. But will the owners be willing to spend enough? Good luck for the season hope you go out of the bottom 3 and Everton go into it and stay there 😂

Brilliant guest and interview. I've seen and heard Keiran Maguire a few times as the go to media football finance expert but what has never come through on those media interviews is his deep understanding of the game as a proper grass roots fan since the 1970s which increases my respect for him massively. Very interesting insight on the China position and this is the first time that I have ever heard of Peak6 owning Wolves shares though I consider myself to be reasonably clued up. I gave up my Wolves season ticket this year for 3 reasons (1) VAR and its inconsistent application (2) The 17% increase (3) The increased number of inconvenient KO times due to TV plus bad traffic making midweek fixtures a real pain to get to.

Very informative Dave. It seems that apart from West Ham every PL club is losing money. West Ham only because their rent for their stadium is subsidised by every tax payer. A scandal in itself. So as Kieran says although most clubs don’t have a for sale notice outside the ground if the right offer was made they would be sold. That obviously includes us. However if the get out price for Fosun is £480 million then any prospective buyer would need £1 billion to buy and invest in the team and the infrastructure. I don’t see a queue of those type of people down the Waterloo Road in the near future……

Kieron is for sure is the go to person to explain the finances of all the clubs Of course Wolves are the last of the 4 'big' B'ham and Black Country clubs run by the reluctant Chinese who get their view from above, and will only go through the motions of running Wolves until they can sell them off at the best price possible, so any ambition by fans should be put on hold until the next ownership. The only current hope is that the current owners would want to sell while the club is in the top flight.

The only way we can compete with those at the top is to increase revenue. Selling shirts won’t do it. Increasing ground attendances will. We need either a major revamp of Molineux or a completely new stadium further out, with major retail/ concert facilities etc. 50,000 capacity min. When you have clubs filling their stadiums with 60, 70,000 + every home game, it’s not hard to see how far behind we are.
