1) Mausoleum of Karakhan
2) Monument of the Kazakh Khanate 550th anniversary of the khans Kerey and Zhanibek. The height of the stele of the installed monument is 27 m, on its pedestal there are sculptures of the khans Kerey and Zhanibek, 5 meters high.
3) Mausoleum of Aisha Bibi
The base of the Aisha Bibi mausoleum is made in the shape of a cube, each side of which measures 7.6 meters. There are solid three-quarter columns in all its corners. The exterior of the building is decorated with small niches, pointed arches, and terracotta tiles with 60 different patterns. Along the entire perimeter of the structure there are various vaults and small columns. The walls of the building are approximately 80 centimeters thick and consist of three layers - burnt brick from the inside of the mausoleum, carved slabs from the outside, and between them a layer of fragments of tiles mixed with clay. To strengthen the walls of the building, special wooden beams are laid along its perimeter.
The entrance to the mausoleum is located on the eastern facade of the structure. Inside the mausoleum, in its very center, there is a tombstone measuring about 3 by 1.5 meters.
The building is decorated with tiles with intricate patterns, traditional for the ancient tribes of Kazakhstan. Grace and lightness of lines symbolize the feminine principle. The patterns have geometric motifs, as well as zoomorphic and solar patterns, originating from the works of the Andronovo and Saka tribes. On the mausoleum you can see “koshkar muyiz” (a pattern in the form of ram’s horns), and rhombuses connecting to form hexagonal stars, and a floral pattern.
4) The Mausoleum of Babaji Khatun has great historical value as one of the earliest medieval mausoleums on the territory of Kazakhstan. The mausoleum, famous for its unique hipped dome, is part of the UNESCO World Heritage Site and has been under state protection since 1982. Various sources indicate the date of construction of the mausoleum as the 11th or 12th centuries. Unfortunately, history has not preserved the names of the authors and craftsmen who built the mausoleum.
The legend of the construction of the Babaji Khatun mausoleum is closely connected with the beautiful Kazakh legend about the love of a beautiful young girl named Aisha Bibi and the ruler of the city of Taraz, Karakhan Muhammad. According to legend, Babaji Khatun was the nanny and faithful friend of Aisha Bibi.
