we always knew jimin was a solo career waiting to happen and we saw it in the BTS group works (Boy with love, Blood, sweat and tears, Idol, Dionysus) but also in his solo tracks Promise, Serendipity, Lie, and Filter. jimin is so supportive and loyal that he would never break away from BTS but fate and circumstance is now intervening, thanks to Korean mandatory military service. so this opportunity finds the right time - and all BTS members are embracing solo careers (fate dressed up as national duty). we always knew that of all the BTS members, jimin would be the most likely to succeed as a solo artist. jimin has so much untapped potential and his BTS mates and jimin's supporters around the world know it as well. he is a work in progress who is barely aware of his true talent - he's still so young. Face is just his first foray into a solo career - there is much, much more to come. i love this track because in it jimin is deliberately playing with and exploring his voice. some people hate the voice manipulations and autotune but the voice is an instrument afterall that can be enhanced with use, cultivation, and experimentation (as required). luckily jimin has the courage to go beyond what he already knows and potentially extend the quality, fabric and cadence of his voice. imagine what beautiful music he will create when he finds the true authentic voice(s) that he loves the best

Jimin is the most interesting doing visual artistic things. He did not come through as wanting to go big as a soloist is because he wants things for himself but he is as well a very selfless person and doesn't promote himself with words. In BTS fiesta 2021 though he did say that he has reached all the goals he has set, wanting to be a dancer, a trainee, making it into a group etc. He works relentlessly but is humble about it. I can't wait for them to come back as a group.

I'm in the same boat as you (and honestly all my Jimin bias friends I know as well), I was so nervous with this release coming on whether I'd like his album or not. I was REALLY hoping I would or else I'd feel terrible, and now seeing what he did with Set Me Free pt2 It's reassured me and gotten me even more excited. I can't believe we're actually watching a MV made by Jimin FOR Jimin. It's so crazy! finally!! I ALSO was thinking that he was never interested in carving out his own solo path, but here we are! And reading these lyrics, it also has me super excited to hear what he has to say and share with us. I love this song/MV so much. Jimin may have had a few “solo” songs like Filter and Serendipity, but they were still part of BTS. I think he took a page out of the the Rap Line playbook. It was on their mixtapes that they unleashed the darkest most intense parts of their minds and emotions. They could say things they couldn’t as part of BTS. Jimin unleashed all the emotions from pre-debut until now. He basically told all the haters to FO. The ones from the past and the ones he knew would come after him for this album. Oh and they have already come with their hate. The video is full of the shadow concept and I want to stand and applaud when he rises above the shadows and comes out free of it all in the end. That is our Jimin! 💜 I think everyone was with you in the pausing. 🤣 How could anyone not pause???

Szerintem ennek többféle jelentése lehet. Fekete fehér. Jimin szereti ezt a két színt. Black end whitw Ő volt a fehér, JK a fekete ruhás táncos. A lakása is a fehér szürke és fekete árnyalataiban volt berendezve. A ruhatárában is szereti ezek kombinációit ötvözni. Ezek olyan színek amik letisztultak és egyszerűek, mégis sok mindent elmondanak valakiről. 1, Lehet hogy az utálkozó rajongók miatt van a fekete, és arra utal, hogy hagyják őt békén.
