Isn't it interesting how she wasn't buried with the last name Plantz? I feel for her daughter 😢 I can't imagine how she must feel, her dad was murdered at the hands of her mother, her mother was executed, her maternal grandparents are both gone, and her brother is gone. That's a lot to swallow. Praying for her 🌹🕊

This is a tragic story all the way around. He was alive when he was burned. That must have been so painful. The kids lost both their parents. Both of Marylyn's parents had to go through their daughter being executed. The son is already gone now. Only his sister is left. She must be so sad. I will never understand why a person thinks they need to kill another person for "love" or money.

Look what she causes to her own family.I wonder if the son died from suicide because it was so soon after her and her own mother must have died broken too as she died. First I can't was thinking she was abused as the reason for the murder but I really doubt she would have cared this much for the insurance money. Very sad for the kids, must have been extremely difficult to suddenly lose both your parents in this way.

@@thattruckerwes8072: Tujunga, California. It's a suburb of L.A. in the San Fernando Valley. Thomas Noguchi, the former medical examiner wrote about it in his book "Coroner to the Stars" and explained the details of why the bodies looked like they did depending on how long they were buried. People came from all over southern California to see it and there were even cars with license plates from Texas and Arizona and bugs on their windshields. It was an absolute gridlock. Homeowners would tell reporters not that they *had* bodies in their yards but how many. Two Doberman dogs stood guard over one front yard but would then fight each other over who got to bite someone trying to enter the property. The owner told me it made them "kind of useless" keeping people away. Fortunately, there were no bodies or mud in my yard because I was a couple of blocks out of the way. It took a long time to identify the bodies and I don't know what ever was done with them because the cemetery was closed after that and had been in trouble before.

@Reed Griffin So, a woman which killed her husband with no consideration for the own kid she had with him, had no remorse and no emotions to show at the end of her life, found God? That is no sign of reparation or repent. I'm sorry if sounded offensive but it's honestly the way i see it, i've seen people fucked up enough repent i see no repent in that women but as you say, that judgement is not mine to make.

Marilyn Plantz was a substitute teacher in my class at Crutcho Elementary School in Oklahoma City at N.E. 23rd and Air Depot. She wasnt there every single day, just randomly.. I suppose on days when our regular teacher needed assistance. Mrs. Plantz was very quiet, rarely spoke. She mostly sat seated at her desk. It's hauntingly chilling to think back that my 12 yr old self was submitting my completed paper assignment to someone who was sitting there mentally plotting a scheme to murder her husband. I had no idea at the time. ...but looking back, her behavior and mannerisms were quite odd...just very quiet, shy, and stoic. Unlike any substitute teacher I've ever had before. R.I.P. James Plantz. The fact he was still alive after being pummeled with baseball bats means he more than likely heard his own wife's voice emerge from the bedroom saying that "it doesnt look like an accident". He died knowing that his wife was behind it all.

There is a documentary by Werner Herzog called Into The Abyss, about 2 guys who killed a woman, her grandson and his friend. One of the men convicted in the crime, Michael Perry, was executed. You should do a story on that and go to his grave.
