Another great informative video Ollie. I think the Sunward micro's minimum width is 750mm and they seem to be building a dealer network. If they stock the parts they could be one to watch. 👍

Great video Ollie, good to see the battery tech and looking forward to see how it advances. Those new mic's you've got are good too, much better sound

Thanks for the video Ollie I was tempted to go to the show but didn’t have time. I’ve had the sanny 26u on demo and was impressed…however I’d like to try the next size up with air con even if it does add a level of complexity moving from job to job! Cheers Callum

Wacker recently released their second generation of the TH412, has a 33kW engine now, worth a look.

Isnt Sunward a hitachi machine but different color and price?
@stuartandrews4344 Жыл бұрын
Don't think so, they were created in 1999 by Professor He Qinghua.

There was certainly nothing in common with Hitachi on the machines I saw. I think its Airman that have the tie up with Hitachi - same colour paint as Sunward!

Atlas is selling them (Sunward) under their name and colors. Pretty sad in my opinion.

Wait a minute. They are asking 14k £ for that thing?😂😂😂 For that money you could get a real quality japanese machine.

@@Olliegunns Right! its not sunward, its Airman. I was a bit worried with how you described it. Ive always felt hitachi being hi quality. Thanks..always great vids

Do wish JCB use Torx fixings instead of those pesky Hex (Allen) fittings.
@Olliegunns Жыл бұрын
Yeah, externally, I cant see them lasting too well, especially as it looks like you would want to take that panel off to allow better access for servicing. Easily rectified though - just a shame its not identified as an issue by the manufacturer.

@@Olliegunns The engine cover fasteners will be changed for Hex Flange bolts very soon. Thanks for your feedback. JCB engineers do listen and we try our best to make improvements where we can.

Electric vehicles wether it be plant or domestic are a complete waste of time. Try getting a suitable mains supply on a site to charge them. Generators use fuel so you'll not be getting an award from Attenborough plus it will get stolen. The thing is parts IE motors. A 3rd of the price for a new machine plus the BMS ECU'S aren't cheap and you'll have a Christmas tree lit control screen in no time with faults

Another good honest video again ollie. Sanny part was a interesting watch, was the oil aux flow correct ?
@Olliegunns Жыл бұрын
I haven't been able to confirm it. They way they write it in the spec is "max oil flow". Now is that for the aux? Or for the whole machine? The rep didn't know at the show - no surprise there....

Electric=niche, yes! Otherwise they are a complete rip off. Batteries and electric motors are simply not that expensive, so for your average contractor - wait. Unless, of course, you're putting an order in for 30! For me, even with the hassle AdBlue (which it isn't for owner/drivers), diesel is a no-brainer. Noise can be an issue, but just where are you operating it? Certainly not inside an office block or the middle of the night on a housing estate. Of course, there are situations but these will justify the price. Sorry I'm still anti, as you've guessed. Enjoy these videos, but we need more machinery hands on - speak to those reps Ollie!

Electric isn't for me yet either, not on excavators at least. The smaller tools like Wacker plates I think could have some mileage but the battery tech just isn't there to make an excavator run long enough on a single charge. I'd like to try one out on a real job though and see just how they do hold up to the figures the manufacturers quote. And I've been speaking to several reps about the possibility of having some demo machines to try on upcoming projects, but I don't think my channel is big enough to justify the effort for them unfortunately as I've never heard back.
@bobrose7900 Жыл бұрын
@@Olliegunns Just a quick thought, all current electric machines are small but if and when storage levels improve can you imagine the huge charging costs to fill those batteries to the equivalent of a 5 or 8t excavator running diesel, and the length of time needed...
