It looks like she's using monofilament. Its stiffer. Great to use with projects like these.

Good job Sylvia. What size of bead did you use for the base? Size 8/0 (3) seed beads or 4/0(4) seed beads? How many rolls of right angle weaves or matting can one do? Thanks for sharing. I’ve been trying to do this necklace but wasn’t sure of how to do it. God bless your hard work.
