Executor Alter has been the most fun Guard unit I've built so far. He may not be super broken like Surtr or Mlynar but he feels like an honestly fun unit.

I think executor alter only got underrated because he released without module on cn until reapers got module during sheep event iirc but when he came to en people let that track over despite modules releasing with his event on en

First impressions aren't easy to dispel after all. Plus people are already sold over by Eyjalter, Typhon, and even Virtuosa and Degenbrecher, so it's hard to change their pulling plans with so many good units coming

@@GiovansbillyYeah as it goes, Exec Alter is a DAMN good reaper. But would you have a DAMN good reaper, or the first 6* wandering medic. I pulled for Exec Alter, but even I only allotted 30 pulls for him due to the sheer amount of up and coming god tier units.

@@shariqikram5832 Yeah, but that's strictly talking events. The roguelikes have statuses that need to be cleansed, CC like events also tend to feature a daily stage or two with statuses, etc. It's present enough in the game where you should prepare for it's next incarnation, and if you for some reason have yet to raise either of the berry duos then Eyja is a sweet deal.

@@Peppers_mintusswarms of trash mobs that are ridiculously tanky and increase block count iirc like ch10 enemies. Which means he gets a high block count, making his auto-heal busted to hell and his true aoe can make good work out of those critters. Arguably La Pluma could also do the job, but her significantly lower atk will make her struggle. At least ch13 has no annoying cannon to nuke either of them.

I came to Arknights only to collect sexy husbands and nothing will stop me from doing this. That’s why I pulled for Executor Alter (successfully) and after the Alter Eya event I will be saving up for Hoederer.

Unpopular opinion: Typhon is the overrated operator of the next batch. Sure she hits like a truck, but she has a lot of flaws holding her back.

I don't think that's really an unpopular opinion, a lotta people seem to agree with that. It's just that the more casual players saw her showcase videos against bosses and didn't take into account anything else.

@@Gundumb781slow aspd, wonky targeting (heavy enemies), s2 charge is too long, s3 dmg really reduced if the target is crowded with other enemies so you want to select isolated enemy. Idk if all this is relevant so cmiiw

@@Gundumb781 s2 has a rather large sp cost, and it's only infinite after 2nd activation meaning the stage is usually over by the time she gets it. s3 is very situational. It's a great boss killer but damage falls of quite a bit when other mobs walk withing range of the target and after the skill ends, the target remains where the enemy died. This means you'll essentially have to deactivate her skill and waste ammo if the target is somewhere awkward, though it can be a good source of damage if the target position is good (assuming she doesn't pull an ebenholz and waste damage on filler enemies).

Damage is purely single target unlike Mlynar/Chalter/Surtr and she takes much more time to dish out the damage compared to other DPS. Plus any enemies got into the S3 range and her damage just plummets, she only thrives when the boss is entirely isolated. Still spectacular unit but people saying she is top 5 operators in the game is really exaggerating. S2 is insane value for AFK though

@shinjitobe8297 that's not how it works. If you get a 6 star at 149 for example, the next 6 star after 150 WOULD be the rate up but that could come as late as 200 or 210 if you're very unlucky.

@@deb_999 you need 3 of it but to get all three you need to get to at least to mizuki skin (among 90 level) The only way is just wait till virtuosa banner because in her event the t5 salt in shop.

The more annoying thing for me (as a fairly new player) was to grind from chapter 5 to 7 because of his module missions. The chapter 10 part wasn't quite as hard because I didn't need to spend sanity for it.

Dunno, started playing month ago, got him from the 4th pull while just trying to pull the guaranteed 5 star from his banner. I am only on chapter 5 of main story, so cannot make him elite 2 yet, but he alone cleared so much for me already.

If the skill ends itself with 0 ammo, you should wait a little time(= atk interval) to turn off it - so you can earn some time for charge sp if you stop the skill at 0 ammo

He's a cool unit but I really dislike the multiple levels of RNG in his kit, especially since his double shot talent gets a 25% improvement from potential which makes him one of the few units where max pot really matters. I'll let someone with more money than me invest in him and just borrow him if I feel like it, besides La Pluma would never forgive me.

Eh... It's only 3% chance increased from pot5 😅. His pots doesn't matter at all. It's his module where the chance increased from 20% to 35% (38% if pot5)

With more interesting operators coming up it's not a must pull IMO. Like, yeah he's strong but he's not needed. Other ops can basically do what he does (lanehold and dps) just fine. It's not a bad thing to pull on but not great at the same time.

Executor Alter only: - Is self-sufficient - Is tanky for Guard standards - Deals with high def enemies even tho he's a laneholder - Doesn't take half the durarion of a map to charge his skill, and basic attacks are already better than most Guard basic attacks - High DPH skill with true aoe (wow, one of the reason Ch'en Alter is broken xd) For contrast, Blaze and Thorns need setup time, aren’t nearly as self sufficient, and can't deal with high def properly (Blaze's module helps, but it isn't in global yet), Mountain can't deal with high Def enemies properly, Mudrock costs a lot more of DP and still can't handle killing high def enemies super well without S3. The B- rating is straight up ignorant, Executor's only real disadvantage is that he can get fucked by high burst dmg and elemental dmg, it's better to say that he's a lot more replaceable compared to future ops and not as worth to pull as them than "hard to justify a team slot" and "B- most of the time"

@@ZeeGauntlet The character is actually pretty darn good, even if it's high investment. I also pulled for him because I like him and got super lucky and manage to get him in 10 pulls, and you just have to use him by yourself and analyze his kit to understand that he's well very above average. What happened with Exalter is that on release he was decent, but the module pulled his strenghts a whole lot in arguably one of the best modules in the game, the problem is that first impressions spreaded from mouth to mouth are impactful, and there's not a lot of people who decide to confirm if what is said of x operaror is actually true or not. Glad you liked him and gave him an oportunity.

@@ZeeGauntletHe's clunky to play, RNG reliant and is in a heavily overcrowded role where nothing he does is particularly that impressive or needed, especially at top level. It's got nothing to do with Surtr/Mlynar. Pull for him cause you like him sure, but know why people dislike him gameplay wise.
