@@ApexHerbivore How long have you been doing stop-motion animation? "Hours" seems pretty reasonable to me. Even with the loop, I can easily see this short animation taking Guldies a couple of hours to animate, followed by a few more hours of editing (the boi's run cycle includes multiple frames of him floating off the ground).

@@YayaFeiLong Yeah, you're probably right tbh. Re-reading my comment - I didn't mean to sound so arrogant. I was just thinking of the animation time. Depends on the armature too, if it's just wire it might take longer. The first half is a 20 frame loop, which would probably take me about 30 mins if it was rigged well (i.e. on a winder, which is quick to adjust). Then the bit where he gets sucked in, another 20 mins or so. Plus the final loop, another half hour or so. If you count editing too then I guess 2-3 hours is fair. Doing single character stuff shouldn't take long because you can give all your attention to just doing one thing. Some shots take forever. For example I've done scenes where 12 kids are playing football while their parents stand cheering and cars are driving past in the background, where each frame can take 15-20 minutes and 1 wide shot can take several days. To answer your question though, I've been animating professionally for nearly 20 years. Longer if you count the stuff I did as a kid and in college.
