I can't tell you how thankful I am that I found your videos!!! I found out a week and a half ago I have GD and I've been struggling trying to get my blood sugar into the right range. I try this workout and for the first my blood sugar is where it needs to be!!! I've been trying so hard to avoid having to take insulin and this exercise I think is the key! ♥️ Thank you for sharing

Beautiful workouts, I can't tell you how thankful I am for all your videos, and especially the GD ones as I have been trying to keep my blood sugars in check as much as possible. Thank you for all the resources as well! To answer your question, not forgetting to have a good time now means not obsessing about the blood levels, and enjoying my pregnancy moment to moment, enjoying my husband, and being thankful for all the pleasures and privileges that I have, considering it is also the time of COVID. It's been such an intense year, in both challenging and beautiful ways. So taking things lightly and including laughter and play is so important!

Thank you so much for your videos. I am starting week 7 of my first pregnancy and am completely knocked out by fatigue and horrible nausea. I used to be very active, but I have become this thing attached to the couch for the past 5 weeks or so (especially since I am home because of the pandemic). This video (along with others - like the yoga for nausea video) have made me feel like I am getting some sort of exercise and have made me feel much better. I have become weaker and fear i will be totally out of shape during this pregnancy, and gain weight too fast, so I appreciate your videos that are tailored to our needs, I think they will help me a lot. Thank you so much.

Congratulations on your pregnancy! I'm sorry you are feeling so terrible (the first trimester is terrible for sickness). Hopefully in a few weeks you will feel better and enjoy being active again. Be kind to yourself. Being gentle with your body - a few weeks while you feel terrible won't set you back so much!

Hi Raquel :) If you are happy with your blood sugars then 150 min per week (about 30 min per day) and a combo of cardio, strength and stretching is great. If you are looking to improve your blood sugars then you could increase to 45 - 60 min per day (as long as your doctor approves) kzbin.info/www/bejne/sKfdaoqDrbuhgNk

@PregnancyandPostpartumTV4 жыл бұрын
swathi potta Hi 👋 To improve your fasting blood sugars it doesn’t matter so much what time. If you are insulin the after meals is safer to reduce risk of low blood sugar. Getting 45 min + per day will deplete your glycogen storage (sugar storage) in your muscles abs then over the next 24 hours your body will replace those stores. Lowering fasting blood sugars :)
@shubhangipalwankar52374 жыл бұрын
Thank you so much....it’s too effective..I am currently 8 weeks pregnant so can you please tell me within how many hours after meal should I do this exercises? Additionally can you please tell me whether is weight required in my hands while doing this exercise or can I do without weight.If it’s required then how much exactly should be the weight in my hands.
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV4 жыл бұрын
Shubhangi Palwankar Hi Shubhangi! Congratulations on your pregnancy. Hope you are feeling pretty good in your first trimester:) You can do this as soon as your stomach feels settled enough (30-60 min after your meal). It depends a little if your doctor wants you to test at 1 or 2 hours after your first bite of food if you want to see the benefit at your post-meal reading. However exercise anytime will have a 24 hour benefit. Of course always test extra around exercise, but there is less risk of lows after a meal. If not close after a meal, test more and you may need a snack to prevent lows (if you are on insulin). You can absolutely do it with no weights. If you want more of a challenge add 2 lbs, 5 lbs or even more if you feel safe a comfortable. I used 5 lbs in this video. Hope that helps! You are doing a great job!

Is this applicable for 20weeks pregnant? Is exercising ok for 20weeks pregnant with gestational diabetes and who take insulin every before meal with 6units?? Thank you
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV5 жыл бұрын
Ice Cold Hello! Yes, as long as your doctor says it’s OK, this workout is designed for both pregnancy and GD. Make sure you test your blood sugar before and after to avoid low blood sugars. If you feel low (dizzy, clammy, unwell) stop and test right away. The best time to do this is 1-2 hours after a meal as well to help prevent low blood sugars.

I am 30 week pregnant with GSD, can I do these exercises immediately after my breakfast? My fasting blood sugar comes in range but after 1 hour of breakfast it goes around 180. What is suitable timings to do this excercise?
@PregnancyandPostpartumTV5 жыл бұрын
neha mishra Hi Neha, great question. Yes, after a meal (as long as your stomach is settled) is ideal. It should help with your post meal readings. A lot of women struggle with higher sugars in the morning due to more insulin resistance. I would also look at what you are having for breakfast and how many carbs to see if there are any changes you could make there.

shikha mehta Hi 👋 If you are not on insulin or glyburide (or a medication that causes lows) you can exercise any time you can fit it in. If you are on medications that can lower blood sugar. 1-2 hours after a meal is best to start exercise to reduce risk of lows.
