Is it possible to enter these trails as a foreigner? Looks like great fun

First thing someone smashes his GS 😂 And that's why those oversized things are useless if you go on real adventure travel.

Why do only some bikes stop at the bottom and wait for the flag please?
@Demjan853 жыл бұрын
Can someone explain me why some bikes stop and then restart when riding to the top and other (usually bigger bikes) just go up the hill straight away?
@hatchy79183 жыл бұрын
To pass the section you must stop at bottom, and some people just do it for fun

@@hatchy7918 thank you for clarification!

It depends on the class entered and more specifically the tyres used. If the bike Is road biased with road tyres then the stop start is not required, but the section is still scored Trials tyres on dual purpose or dirt bikes do the stop start any foot down outside of the “box” of yellow flags will be scored as a “.dab”. Sadly I’ve never been able to get an entry in these classic events but several of my friends have done them.

Do I need a ACU licence or just a day licence to do this event? thanks in advance Paul P
@WiltshireByways3 жыл бұрын
You need an ACU trials licence, which are about £13/year.

what did we learn? that the bigger bikes have too much power and slip out, the smaller bikes have less power and do much better

Looks to me like real dirt bikes must stop, while the adventure type bikes with less aggressive tires keep going,

Class B must stop and restart, classes C & D must ride through: www.themotorcyclingclub.org.uk/go-trialling-with-the-mcc/vehicle-classes/

Who brought the street bikes to a dirt hill climb? Lol
@WiltshireByways3 жыл бұрын
All bikes must be road legal, and are handicapped by how suitable they are for climbing.

why doesn't him whining about the flag guy either do it himself or just shut up, every club has an armchair expert
@michaelegan60923 жыл бұрын
I used to do these trials, 30 years or so ago, and find that although they have far better machines, they are on average not up to the job. Sorry but it has to be said. A generation before me may well have said the same thing, and they may well have been right.

Why do some people stop and wait for the flag and some don’t ? Also whats the entry requirements ?
@WiltshireByways4 жыл бұрын
It all depends on the entry class. If I remember correctly, 450cc ride through. Most road legal motorcycles with trials tyres may enter. The next event is the famous Land's End Trial at Easter.
