@timdobby53657 ай бұрын
@@scottpeterMA I had a C650 and considering the extra cost it was not better built than my 300 Honda’s, plus it was expensive to service and 60kg heavier than my Forza300 /ADV350. These 350 Honda’s really are the sweet spot for a two wheeled jack of all trades that can tour, nip into town or zip along A roads (or even sit happily on motorway at legal speeds all day if you need to).

I bought a 300 Forza to do short trips, keeping my BMW R1200 RT for longer trips - well that was the plan. The RT stays on its battery tender and the Honda has taken over, it's so good at everything! Huge storage capacity, light as a feather to push around, loads of torque, it even has an electric screen and a phone charger. my first scooter and I absolutely love it!

I'm lucky enough to have an ADV350. I've done 1,400 miles so far. It's a really impressive machine. Nimble, stable, enough power and handling to have fun. Great video. I have a Forza 350, having always had bikes before. It does everything I need and I have put more miles on the scoot in the period of time that I have owned it , than I have ever put on any of the bikes. Purchased new in August 2021 and now has 11,500 miles on it. Well pleased and surprisingly good for touring. Great weather protection with the electric screen. Shares the same engine and cvt specs as the adv and certainly doesn't hang about. ADV has better suspension - but not such good screen/weather protection - horses for courses and all that!

Does anybody know when parts are becoming available for the ADV 350 in the UK?... Akrapovic exhaust.. Engine guard rails.. Fly screens.. Optional top boxes.. Belly plates etc.. ??
@robshaw23192 жыл бұрын
Hi - I've no particular knowledge of parts but Akrapovic already sell an exhaust for the Forza 350, that should fit. Since the engine is under the body work and part of the swing arm, I doubt a guard would be needed. The ADV has a full set of plastics protecting the radiator and I can't imagine any company developing aluminium replacement panels as the bike is not designed for serious off road work. Top box? European versions have them as standard. I would expect Honda UK can source those...or at least a rack for any other topbox brand to fit on. The screen works really well for me at 5'9" but Givi will do those soon, I'm sure or some Thai company will be working on that now as the bikes just been released there. They seem to like their graphics kits there too and that's something that interests me...Good luck.
@life_in_the_wild25732 жыл бұрын
@@robshaw2319 Thanks for the detailed reply Rob. I did think about the Akrapovic exhaust for the Forza 350 but didn't know whether it'd fit or not, I'm guessing it might though. And yes I think I'd want to change the fly screen to a tinted fly screen tbh so hopefully they do bring one out. And the bars that go around the bike at the front that you can attach spot lights to.. I've not seen them advertised yet either, have you? I'm guessing that because the 2022 model of the ADV 350 is only just hitting the shelves, parts will maybe follow soon? Regards.

I'm surprised how well the engine works compared to cb500 engines (also own), feels faster. Sits at 6500 a lot which always feel busy on faster roads. I do think the disc's and rear alloy castings are to prone to the weather with rust and corrosion issues. Wind buffeting is not good and would say it's a weak point on the Honda 350 range but think it's scooters in general with an angled front end design. 3 screens later and no fix for me. Non adjustable rear shock is a surprise, I feel it needs a click or two sometimes or better damping but then I use it for work and carry tools on it. Worth a test ride but try it at speed in different wind directions before committing, off road bike? nope, like a hinge on wheels.
@exeterrider2 жыл бұрын
Yes that rear wheel has a lot of gubbings near that rear wheel and it does a good job of keeping the water at bay....I found the screen a little low but infact considering how many bikes I ride it is pretty good overall I find. Thanks for your input.

Is it possible for this scooter, to travel about 300 km with two riders at a speed of 130 km/h (~80 mph)? I'm between this scooter and the cb500x. I want daily use in the city and once a month a long trip of 300 km. Thank you in advance!
@exeterrider2 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely. Infact the ADV will be better for 2 up riding than the 500X which will feel more cramped. It will be happier at 75 with 2 riders on. It handles 2 up riding VERY well. I think its better for longer trips than the 500x in many ways.

maybe if you hit that little red car = some of its paint might stick to the bike and cover the primer that honda sent it out in ;;;

🤣What you don't see, is she went in that pub at the end to drop someone off. When she came out she apologised for it. It was no biggy to me but nice she did that 👍🍻

Honda dealers, put a deposit on something we can't even show you an example of. Might get it in 10 weeks... could be 20 or 30... we don't know.

@Bryan Witt sadly, that's the way of the world at the moment, it dissent seem to be getting much better for any brand 😔

I would be frustrated as well. One thing I can tell you is they are also finding everything a severe pain in there arse. They really want to get the bikes out there to make money. It's costing the dealers and the brands millions in lost deposits etc. We're in many days all in the same boat as each other 😏

OH NOOOOO !!!!! Not the DARK SIDE !!!!! I'm old enough to remember Mods and Rockers , I'm a Rocker so I wouldn't touch a Mod's motorized lawnmower .......... But on the good side it's the sort of thing a girl would be interested in ........ SEXIST ALERT !!!!!!!!

Glad your open minded about scooters, they are wolves in sheep's clothing but one half of the biking fraternity dismisses them outright, sad! Be nice to know what Old Codger up Laanson thinks about them but do take silencer off before showing him and change badge to RE, you know what them Cornies are like!!!!
