No decoking is needed now with modern low ash oils.

The one you cut down can be cut further and will do well on a D5, D5, etc up to larger pipe sized bikes. The gasket is designed to take up a certain amount of differences. Surely no one buys a new exhaust without a new gasket?

use a chromed dome nut instead looks a lot better

Try fitting with the nut on, it doesn't help by just offering things up.

Hi I get them from all over really, Bournemouth Bantams, Bantam John, Classic Bikes,, and a few others off the internet. The only time I had a problem was with the Speedo light bulb set up from India - which I covered in that particular video. Good luck with your restoration.
