Had a 2019 SL 2.5 as a loaner for a few days and actually loved it. The Nissan heated seats / steering wheel are great, the base 6 speaker setup actually bumped, and the CVT was dramatically improved over the previous gen. In fact I’d say the new Altima’s CVT is one of the most responsive transmissions I’ve used in a normal car. The hidden sport mode (small button at bottom of shifter) makes a huge difference in how it reacts.

So what I'm wanting to find out is what are any issues that happen a few years down the road with the turbo engine? I've owned a Mini Cooper S for several years and it's just one problem after another so I'm thinking of trading it but I don't want to be making payments then having to cover thousands in repair bills every other year so would this be a basic maintenance car or is it prone to taking a dump on the side of the road?
@MeynMotorGroup Жыл бұрын
Well I’m sorry that happened to you but I’m afraid this is going to keep happening to you if you don’t learn how to lease and dump new cars. I’m also very perplexed at why people who value longevity keep buying cars that have no longevity. There is only one car brand you buy if all you care about is reliability and keeping long term, that would be Toyota. Your mini is great, I love those cars but that’s not something you own for several years. You lease it cheap for 3 years then you dump it and move on to next.

@@MeynMotorGroup when they say a vehicle is producing whatever horsepower this is not trully right. A vehicle will produce its max power when there's enough gas mileage that can boost up the engine to produce that much. When a vehicle is half gas mileage, it will be difficult to produce that amount of power if you don't have enough gas. And this law apply to all the vehicles indeed! Great review on an excellent car; my 2nd SR. It's quick, smooth and tight! My only complaint is that they modified the front seats and made them TOO small. If you are over 6' like me, they pulled back the seated area by almost 2" and on the width as well, making it difficult for a taller person.
