EVALUATION:
It would've been easy to simply have a "happy" ending where you can be with the demon in peace. However, I decided to make it more complicated.
My objective was to make the listener feel guilty. After all, by giving into the demon's demands, they're essentially betraying their own boyfriend. By having the boyfriend actually come back, the listener will think of the boyfriend as an actual person with thoughts and feelings, rather than a plot device. In this sense, you will question whether you truly want to be with the demon boy or not.
I made the ending somewhat ambiguous in order to let you to decide for yourself whether you would've remained with the boyfriend or joined hands with the demon.
