Hey D, very happy that you reviewed this film! Even at this point in the year, I’d have all three of the central performances nominated for actors in their respective categories!! However, I think that may change once I see Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor in Nickel Boys, which to your point and my understanding, tells a Black trauma story from a new lens. Great review man!

Love your review and break down of the song with the brick as a metaphor. It’s a masterful film! I tired of struggle and street narratives but this fun went beyond and was a story of anyone’s human emotional journey with people we love or should love
