As a new player with the Ice/Water VCs, I'm tempted to pull for her. My best character is Howlet, and I'm waiting for Agrias. I planned on waiting it out for a Gilgamesh pull or a new Ice unit, but Exia sounds tempting. Any suggestions? Was hoping to hear about anniversary details before spending all the visiore I've saved.

Exia is your girl. You can earn Gilgamesh thru the day of visions ticket, it might be a while but you are guaranteed to get him. Agrias will be free at level 120 by logging in, you won’t have to spend vis on her. She can protect Exia quite well. Be sure to pick up Exia’s VC as well, it powers her up tremendously. JP anni is about 30 days out, news should arrive in two weeks. The anni event won’t hit GL until mid December, there is time.

@@kt7up7 Thanks for the advice, I've been liking Exia. If you don't mind, I have some noob questions. Is gear like the Silver Rimmed Spectacles or Mages Habit still any good? My best second slot equipment is probably the Genji Glove which I've had on Howlet. I've checked through a few older guides for more options, but it seems I missed many events. Also, for Exia Espers, would an MR like Mindflayer ever be more worth it than a Ramuh or Shinryu? I have none of the recommended.

You are welcome. Happy to know you are having fun with the unit. In her second slot the silver rimmed spectacles will work. It has accuracy and spirit pen, not bad at all. As for the esper, regular Ramuh or Shinryuu both have good accuracy, much better than any MR ones.

Great video as always KT!!.... so good that... now im torn here because, my current main team is Greatsword (Cloud AC and Sprint Jeume, with good VCs), and i was going to use Exia as my 3rd unit. But i can also use her with my Seph AC + Garrousa (since i also have good Katanas VCs). What do you think is a better fit for Exia, in a Greatsword or in a Katana team?. Really dont Know if i will now invest in Garrousa.... or continue going full in on greatsword....

Garrousa isn’t as strong as Exia imo, he could be a bit of a glass cannon. Exia will be in more of a support role on a katana team due to less magic based VCs that supports devout & katana. With GS, she can carry her own card as main or the silver memories or even Sol’s VC. There are a lot more flexibility with great sword.

Alaya is a boost to Orlandeu (he will be a free get at level 120 in a couple weeks). Without any knowledge on her VC, I think she might be restricted to mono lightning and maybe mixed black mage. I fully expect her VC to support sword red mage as well as mace. Don’t think lightning needs Alaya to take out Exia, the real challenge is Sadali + Exia. Unless she is a OP 70 cost unit, I don’t think she will that much impact on Exia.

Sadali’s card does not support Exia, that’s why Odin is there. That VC is really good for Sadali & Crimson Wiz but not needed for Exia.

That’s the Genbu Ring, 7 all elemental res, 20% max HPA and 40 res to immobilize, frostbite & berserk. Should be the next raid item for GL.

Standalone Exia is better imo, Garrousa is a bit of a glass cannon. If you have well built wind & katana go with Garrousa.

Hey KT, with Sadali taking Exia's VC when they're paired together, is there any use for his own in either his sub slot or one of hers? Seems like Exia misses out on his VC's MAG up and SPR pen for some reason - kind of lame considering she's depicted as well!

Actually I don’t recommend Sadali’s card on that team. I much rather use blossoms in dark or Kefka’s card in that sub slot or even just regular Ramuh. Kefka’s card has 20% HP as a sub super good. GL upgrades are wired sometimes but I think they are doing it on purpose for Sadali’s card. Mainly they want player to pull for Nichol’s VC which has 20 spirit pen for both devout & glove.

The best replacements would be summer Resnick or water Veritas. Not having haste is not ideal but definitely still work. I would recommend to give Exia more bulk if she is paired with Resnick, the heal back TMR is a must if you go that route. With water Veritas, you can go with the AP depletion. Give Wind V TMR to Water V and have her use her own staff. She can give re-raise and increase all elemental res, not bad at all.

Go to the equipment and VC sections of the video, the info is there. With greats word go to the water sample in the video and replace dark Odin with regular Odin.

If you are going for Exia’s VC is week, build silver memories. Her card has 18% agility for devout & great sword plus a lot of power for Exia. In team building, generally agility is always the number one priority. The Zenith will be in the sub slot if you have Exia’s VC. The silver memories has a lot of magic, 20 AOE res and most importantly 8% agility from bestowed, that means your devout units don’t necessarily need 2 agility cards for them to keep up.

Yeah Winter Raph alone is a tough matchup for Exia just like other lightning units. The real question is if they can get through Sadali. Shurecca cannot necessarily blow up Sadali if he is built for wind res. In that matchup, Exia & Shurecca is a draw. And Sadali can mostly likely 1v2 the lightning girls. But everything depends on position & agility.

Yes we are getting Alaya in 9-10 hours. 9-step guarantee banner, 6k paid unit pack plus standard banners. There will also be a 5x retries 10 UR guaranteed banner for 2k paid.

Sadali is better, mainly because of the healing he has and able to protect Exia from lightning. Anglea’s card is more for a full devout team and it is the only magic based unit res VC for the group. It is not a must for Exia but really good to have.

Exia is better in my opinion. Garrrousa can be a bit of a glass cannon but his damage is very impressive. There isn’t much VC synergy with those three, it is hard for them to go together.

Agrias works well with Gilgamesh and just ok with Shurecca. You can use Veritas of the Frost as the 3rd member with Gil & Agrias, they are crazy strong.

I think she is in the same tier as Shurecca, both are top tier magic DPS. Shurecca has been my daily driver for months now, she is still awesome. But Exia has taken over her spot and performing really well.

The game is in a decent to good place right now. If you want to comeback, wait another couple weeks, they will hand out one FFT UR unit at level 120 to all players for free. That’s the best time to start a new account and get a bunch of maxed level units & VCs. I assume you don’t know about next gen units. TLDR; there has been a stat jump for all newer units starting with Water Jeume, most of the older units are not viable in pvp anymore. It is better off to start a new account.

He is still good just not as oppressive. Him & UR Ramada together are still good, or you can consider Garrousa to pair with Sephiroth. They can definitely challenge Exia & Sadali.

Was going to reincarnate Seph but.... now i dont know if its better to max reincarnate my Cloud, looks like GS will keep stong for the future.... looks like but im not sure.... Any recommendations?

I beg to differ. With her dispel seal & debuff weakening, she is quite strong. Her stats are just average but her kit is well put together. The 2x 25% damage reduction from support and hate down at low health can keep her alive for a long time. I think she will be around for a while.

@@kt7up7 She is very strong. But when gumi wants to make her obsolete, it will be done easily because there is no other way to build her or buff her current capabilities. Gumi has a long track record of doing that to water units. Even now, it's a game of who attacks who first. Seal is basically the entire premise.
