The overall theme of the MV was them symbolizing how their relationship was hot and cold, like the changing temperatures. So in the song their talking about how they guy is so damn shady, but she’s still putting up with it low key bc of the overall attraction. So in the MV they have frost (not smoke) entering the room making it colder (symbolizing their relationship cooling down) and then the green house scenes and taking off their clothes (to symbolize the relationship getting hotter again). SO it’s overall just a constant push and pull relationship. But since the MV ended with the entire frame freezing over, it can be assumed that by the end they end the relationship for good.
