EXID’s contract with their Korean agency has ended in 2019 and they did not renew it = more or less meaning they have disbanded but not officially declaring it. However, their contract with the Japanese agency still hasn’t ended meaning EXID still exists in the area/language this Japanese agency was in charge of. So they cannot use the name EXID and be active in Korea but they can in Japan.

They could sign again, but it’s not a continuous contract. And until they do so, there is no group officially called EXID that is active in a legal sense
