Exiled Iranian Christian Woman Tells Inspiring Story of Faith, Courage under Persecution

JERUSALEM, Israel - Christians on every continent can share stories of persecution and brutality, but few governments have a more alarming reputation for their treatment of Christians than Iran.
Marziyeh Amirizadeh is a remarkable Iranian Christian woman who was sentenced to death, and endured torture and incarceration in Tehran's notorious Evin Prison. Time and again, she stood up to the authorities, all the while meditating on God's word and growing in her faith while suffering the loss of loved ones.
Marzi, as she is known, eventually escaped Iran and started a new life in the U.S. Today, she travels the world sharing her inspiring story of faith in the face of persecution, and she acts as an advocate for the Iranian people's freedom.

On the day I buried my Father, whilst I was curled up in bed at night, trying to make sense of his early passing, my feet were cold, and I decided to go and get an extra blanket to keep me warm . I heard their persecution stories by the Moslem Shiites, and now this happening to our Christian brothers. Amen. Faith over fear. Jesus I’m crying out to you. Please hear my cries. I’m struggling with my faith. I knew when I found Jesus my life wouldn’t be easy because I would have to give up on my sinful life style and follow him. I’m a single mother struggling to make ends meet. Since covid I have been struggling to get back on my feet. I lost my job for declining the vaccine. I declined due to my pre existing health conditions, lupus and heart disease so now I’m having a hard time providing for my children. Both of my sons are special needs. I’m overwhelmed I started homeschooling them due to bullying. I’m waitressing and I’m happy to be back working but I’m not making nearly enough to get by. I have nowhere to turn no family nor friends. No hope. I have been put down and mocked, over my situation. Prayers are all I want. I’m so ashamed and so embarrassed so please be kind. Every month I struggle with my children I’m barely making it. But I still keep faith. Praise Jesus. Please hear my prayers. I have faith God will continue to provide.
