@@pipper6942 The irony in pointing out reading comprehension while missing the point of what I said. To clarify to the reader (if you can even be called that) I wasn’t pointing out differences. I was pointing out that Christianity is everywhere. 1.5% of the population in Japan is Christian. (Only someone who also doesn’t know math would think that’s a small number of people.) In fact the superstitions of Japan far surpass that western superstition. So seeing symbolism in everything is common place. I’d say read a book but you probably can’t build a mental image with words.

I am not interpret it as "purgatory". In my imagination it's like backroom. So the protagonist trapped in loop hole that made by "reality parasite" (you can give better name). The 'reality parasite' tried to trap protagonist forever by give him fake passage way, it mimic the reality as much as it can but there will be always error that it made thus you have to spot that "mimic mistake". If the protagonist failed to spot any difference, he will trapped in the loop. But if he can spot it and turns back, he slip his way out bit by bit until he can escape the loop completely and find the true stair to the Nanbu Park and continue his day. I am from Asia and there are some folk stories similiar to this.

This game reminds me of the time I was lost in London Euston underground station when I was trying to find the right platform to get to London Victoria. It only took me around 20 mins but it felt kinda eternal.

I mean, when there is a game like this without a known story, what else are you going to do? I like your ideas a lot for this one and even modified it a little bit if the protagonist is a girl.

I guess something did happen at the corridor before Exit 8. The office guy might actually stalked the player and something horrible happened before the player reached Exit 8. Now the ghost of the player kept wandering there trying endless way to reach the light.

I don't know about this one......there just doesn't seem to be any story for such a simple game. Of course, anybody can just make stuff up I guess.

And i hope they never add story. Mystery is what keeps games like those interesting, including people interpreting the wildest symbolism into the game.
@peachymiku64322 ай бұрын
To be fair, you can say that about games like Limbo and Inside and people explain those games to the best of their ability as well. Just because we see certain things in Limbo doesn't mean something happened in the boy's real life but some people take it that way. It's fair to say and I can understand why this one bothered you. But nowadays, I like the idea of hearing other people's interpretations of what the storyline is even if there isn't any. But that's me.

I've been to the hallway in the Tokyo subway that definitely inspired this. Its under Akihabara off the ginza line. Theres two platforms that are pretty close on the topside, but the thing keeps twisting and turning underground.

Hehe, I say why not! I originally didn't like it when people said things about Limbo and Inside, using what they see to interpret things that are never said. Nowadays though, I think "Ooh, a retelling? What's your take?" There is more than one way to tell a story after all!

What i hate about these games is that when you spot the differences, what do you do with that information? In all the games i see with this genre, you just walk. Like how exactly to do input the information you find? Do you tell something or does the game input it with what your camera looks at?
@LegioXXI3 ай бұрын
Yes that is the only flaw about those games. There is a game called "The Anomalous Hour" which did that better by having you as a player taking pictures of the anomalies (3 tries).
